> 24 hourOverall, this was the easiest install to replace a door knob and deadbolt. I am 68 years old and was hesitant due to the original ones being over 15 years and hoping the new ones would fit properly. The hardware had components that were adjustable to fit different size holes. Took less than an hour to remove and replace the knob and deadbolt. They look great. Highly recommended.

> 24 hourIf you havent used these yet .... START NOW! Everything comes in the package and the Smart Key is truly the besy thing sonce sliced bread. No more yrying yo match codes or calling a locksmith. Reprogrammed 6 locks & deadbolts to one key in aprox. 3 minutes ... seriously, I was impressed. And if you dont want someone upi have a key to get in, you can re-program them again to another key in a few minutes ... no more changing locks, change the Smart Key!

> 24 hourPractical knobs that are disability friendly. Canada makes these lever knobs mandatory, would be great to implement them here in California, as well. They make opening doors much easier for anyone, when theyre allowed to, of course. lol The smartkey features are great for homeowners or private renters, but are a nightmare for the landlords because most of us tend to master knobs as well. The added feature makes re-keying a little more difficult than standard locks.

> 24 hourKnocked it a star. While it is a nice looking set, was easy to install, and functions well, kwikset still has some work to do with the smart key feature. This is not limited to just this set, but across the board. All keys are cut just a tad different every time, and these locks generally work the best with the original key used to set the lock. Therefore, any copy of the key will be somewhat difficult to operate the lock with

> 24 hour2nd house my wife and I have used Smart Key locks on our doors. If you carefully follow the directions then they are easy to re-key. User error can cause a time consuming hassle of disassembling and resetting the lock cylinder, but if you read through the instructions completely BEFORE re-keying, then you may switch keys to your hearts content.

> 24 hourI really love this Kwikset line. Its perfect for my security needs but its what else it does that I really like. You can easily change out the handles. For example, If in your home you have a nickel finish on the outside entry doors and brass on the inside doors of the same room....buy both sets and switch out the handles so all your handles Im the room match. (nickel outside of door, brass on the inside) The other big plus is the ability to change the lock without going to a locksmith. Instead of multiple keys for each lock in your home, you can just buy Kwikset key change ones and make them all open with the same key! Save those new keys that come with the lock for future use. As when, if you ever need to change your locks, use one of those new keys and change them all for to fit for that set. Theres no limit to how many times you can change them.

> 24 hourI bought 2 sets when we bought our house. They were keyed different from each other and it was easy to re-key so they all match. We had contractors in and out for 2 months and I gave them keys. When the work was completed, I re-keyed everything to the second set of keys. No worries about security. We had Kwikset in our previous home and they stood behind their products and replaced 2 sets at no cost to me when I had a problem.
