These definitely were not the quality of the name brand. The packaging that it came in was disappointing. It should have matched up to my previously installed set. It did not feel solid and secure like the name brand I replaced. I didnt have the time to mess with returning it, but I finally today decided to go back to the name brand today after someone stole my vehicle that had my keys in it.

I bought 2 sets when we bought our house. They were keyed different from each other and it was easy to re-key so they all match. We had contractors in and out for 2 months and I gave them keys. When the work was completed, I re-keyed everything to the second set of keys. No worries about security. We had Kwikset in our previous home and they stood behind their products and replaced 2 sets at no cost to me when I had a problem.

Love the smart key functionality, my older parents love the lever action

quality is a little off. The outside handle wobbles a little and cant be tightened. Inside locked had to be worked on to make it work easy.

Easy enough to install and key! Be CAREFUL of instructions as the picture and keying can screw up the lock. IF the lock does not align EXACTLY as the picture shows, go SLOW and MAKE sure you are turning the key the correct way! ONE set of instructions when putting the knob on says it doesnt matter which way the lock sits, and it doesnt as LONG as you understand the SMART KEY instructions show to turn a specific way and t HAS to match how the lock is set in.... OR you screw up the lock and keying!

Love his door handles and all the working parts. Been buying cheap door locks for the last few times cause with all the people we have using the house the handle or locking parts was breaking every few years or someone loses a key and need to change them all anyways. This handles are very sturdy and the locking parts are very smooth making everything work so much better. Easy to install and change keys. Now we only need 1 key for the whole property so much easier than fumbling around and trying to find your key at night and in the cold. . Brother in law is a lock Smith assistant. Tried to get into the house and couldnt. Which really surprised him. Spend the little extra and buy at least this quality

After wasting money on a similar unknown brand lock/deadbolt combo that was a nightmare to install, this set installed easily and the material/mechanisms are much better. The SmartKey feature works great and is a bonus feature.

Had to replace my door lockset, when it became stuck in the locked position. Received this replacement. Took 15 minutes to install. Works smoothly.

If I owned any Kwikset stock, I would be very angry. These should cost at least $100/set. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER BUY A DIFFERENT SET THAN THESE. These are bump-proof and you can rekey them, to any key you have laying around in about 30 seconds per lock once you get the hang of it. My first 2 took less than 3 minutes total. I dont know what sorcery they used to make it so easy to re-key, but I have the feeling it is a military-grade secret. Someone left a review saying they had ordered 3 sets and they all had the same key. My 2 sets were keyed differently from one-another, so they must have resolved the issue. Also these are way heavier than the ones they replaced, which were less than 6 months old, yet glide effortlessly when opening. Also, they are gorgeous and unlike the last ones I had, dont get all scratched up from a key not finding its mark.

Re-Key feature is terrific and easy to do, just seconds to re-key the locks by yourself.
