Perfect Door Lock Set. Easy to install. Just remember on these type of locks tightening the set screw in removes the door handle and loosening tightens it! Youll have a hard time taking handle off if you are use to the old style which is just the opposite.

A great product. Used it to replace our 50+ year old door locks. The installation was easy and (if you have a Kwikset key) very easy to rekey to match the old keys so you dont have to get new keys for everyone that needs one. Great for an easy DYI project.

We bought a new house and wanted to change all the locks—we have FIVE exterior doors (all with deadbolts) and wanted the convenience of using ONE single key for all of them without calling a locksmith. We also wanted to change out old brass locks/knobs/levers with a more modern look. This was the PERFECT solution. First, I purchased an inexpensive but good quality set of 4 locking knobs with 4 deadbolts on Amazon—all keyed the same with a key compatible with Kwikset. I used those on the basement, balcony, and garage doors (with one extra left over). Then, I purchased a Smartkey handle-set with matching deadbolt for the front door and keyed that to match the 4 set combo. Then, I purchased this Smartkey set for the patio french door and also keyed that to match the 4 set combo and the front door. YAY! All doors in the entire house use ONE single key. The price for this deadbolt entry lever set on Amazon was an unbelievable $17 LESS EXPENSIVE than in our local big-box DIY store. It was very easy to install this, and very easy to key it. I simply followed the instructions in the package. It also works exactly the same as the Smartkey handle-set on our front door. Remember to keep the Smartkey pin in case you need to ever re-key the lock again. I think that that feature is VERY handy in case you ever feel a need to change your locks. These two lock sets were purchased to replace lock sets that were not smart locks. Having same key for entire home is what drove this purchase!!

Feels solid and works as expected. Also I love the smart key feature to refer in 30 seconds, its great.

I bought 2 sets when we bought our house. They were keyed different from each other and it was easy to re-key so they all match. We had contractors in and out for 2 months and I gave them keys. When the work was completed, I re-keyed everything to the second set of keys. No worries about security. We had Kwikset in our previous home and they stood behind their products and replaced 2 sets at no cost to me when I had a problem.
