> 3 dayIt is hard for me to express how remarkably detailed this set is. It has a suspension, and a steering mechanism! At 3,300+ pieces its really much closer to a puzzle than it is a Lego set, and it has been a Covid-19 godsend as my kids (10-16) have sunk hours into this project without hours left to go. This isnt really a set you will play with, its meant more for display, and its incredibly expensive, I certainly wouldnt have purchased it absent the opportunity to review it for free. But there is no denying the value. This is truly a Lego work of art and an incredibly complex and engaging build and is well worth the cost if it is an investment you are interested in making.

> 3 dayLEGOs Batmobile Set is a stunner. If youre a Batman and LEGO fan, you will be over the moon. Even if you dont care for Batman, you will have a blast putting this set together. The set is one of the more difficult LEGO sets to assemble. Some parts of the assembly take careful study to figure out exactly what is going on. The large instruction book uses illustrations only, and no words. The book also contains a section at the begin going into detail about the set and the Batmobile. It took me, as an adult, about a week to put the set together. I would do a couple of sections a day to pace myself. Thoughtfully LEGO includes an extra handful of the smaller LEGO pieces that you might have misplaced. Indeed, I found myself missing two small pieces. I looked all over for them. Ive never had this experience, despite putting together over 30 LEGO sets recently, so I think it was I who lost the parts. Thankfully, I was able to recreate the pieces uses other extra pieces. Once completed the Batmobile is a sight to behold. Its amazing to me how LEGO is able to utilize various shapes, parts, and pieces to create a very realistic looking whole. The Batmobile has a slide open roof for access to the interior, a working steering wheel, and when you rotate the exhaust on the back two guns rise from the hood. Its a neat concept, but you have to manually remove the trim pieces on the hood before the guns will come up. The included mini-figures are not to the same scale as the Batmobile so they do not fit in the interior properly. All in all... a stunner.

15-04-2025The LEGO DC Batman 1989 Batmobile is quite an impressive set. The finished car measures nearly 2-feet long. There is a keen attention to detail; big rubber tires, a slide-open, detailed cockpit, pop-up guns, and a rotating display stand. Three mini-figures are included: Batman, Joker, and Vicki Vale with accessories. This set has a thick manual that gives lots of interesting information about the car, and design. There are 26 bags of parts, so it is a pretty complex build meant for adults, or older kids with patience. It took my husband and grandson multiple nights to build. The 1989 version Batmobile is a great looking display piece, not really meant for kids to play with.

> 3 dayEdit: second set was perfect. This was the most fun Ive had on a build yet. Such a cool set! Watching it come together was quite enjoyable. Ive never had a defective Lego set before, but several of the pieces were warped to the point that the blocks didnt line up as needed on step 106. At first I thought I made a mistake, so I broke everything down and started again...only to run into the same issue on the same step. Heres hoping the replacement doesnt have the same issue.

Greater than one weekI loved this build. Lego did it right. This is well worth the money. I was worried because it seemed really expensive but once built its huge and all in all took me several days to complete over multiple hours a day and some full nights. The book is very detailed and easy to follow. I wasnt missing anything and even ended up with extra pieces. Each step is separated out into numbered bags and each one seemed to take about the same amount of time to complete which was cool because it gave me a good idea about how much time it would take to try and sneak a step in between work. Also wasnt difficult, just pay close attention to the instructions. I did mess up a couple of times but was easy to fix. Once the whole chassis is built, it can get difficult to see exactly where it wants you to place something. Really couldnt be happier, the wheels move with the steering wheel, the guns pop up and the canopy slides open. Was surprised at how much of it is functional. Looks great on the shelf.
