I bought this as a Christmas present for my 9 year old great-nephews. They were thrilled when they opened it.

It is not exactly the entire Hogwarts castle; however, it is a must for Harry Potter LEGO fan like me to have this set. It is very beautiful architecture like a cathedral. The mini figures are a must also like Professor McGonagall, Quirrel, Hagrid, Nearly headless Nick, Susan Bones etc. I also like the Phoenix. The basilisk, although short, but it’s good enough. I like scabbers and Hedwig, but I don’t see Crookshanks so I got a Hermione w/ Crookshanks mini figure. The price is a bit high. Overall, I love it and I am thinking of getting the train set next time.

I have a few Lego fanatics in my family--and a few Harry Potter nuts, too...so combine the two and youve got the best of both worlds. One of the few times my Potter-heads and Lego fans can get along really well at the same time. I ended up giving the box to my oldest daughter, who is the biggest HP fan I know of. She also collects HP stuff, and I figured this was right up her ally. It fit well with her other stuff, like her wands, Sorting Hat, books, Deathly Hallows bracelet and Golden Snitch. She has her Hogwarts assembled along with her other items all on display, and I know itll stay in the right place and treated with respect from now on. I cant ask for more. Plus, it looks wicked cool on her table in her piano room.

Harry Potter legos are back! Love this set.

He started reading Harry Potter about a couple months ago and liked the subject, so that was fun. This was his surprised birthday present and was his first Big Lego set ( mean more than 500 pieces) that added to his few Harry Potter mini figures collection. He could follow the instruction. It occupied his desk to build it. I only allowed him to do an hour each day and it took him four evenings to finish it. He proud of it. I would definitely buy the other set since he start begging for the Whomping Willow.

This set is amazing. There are Harry Potter minifigures in the kit that cant be purchase any other way, so my boys were super excited about that. This set is elaborate with more than 800 pieces. The LEGOs were packaged in six separate, labelled bags. And the instructions made building the Great Hall straight forward. It took my two boys three hours to complete the kit, and they loved every minute. The details for the hall are perfect with four sides to the mirror, the disappearing staircase, and more to make the kit life-like and perfect for fans of the series.
