Leviton DW15A-1BW Decora Smart Wi-Fi Plug-in Outlet, Works with Amazon Alexa, No Hub Required

Works fine. A huge pain in the butt to set them up

Unlike the 11 wireless switch products I bought from Leviton that have been flawless, these outlet control items are a lot less reliable. Once in a while, the app shows a red wireless sign indicating the device is not reachable. I tried dealing with customer support to fix the problem and/or get an RMA, and they emailed with me back and forth for a while but they eventually went quiet/non-responsive despite a number of attempts from me to bring a resolution to conclusion. Thats too bad because their switch products are great. Disappointing customer service.

Very easy to set up. Works like a champ!

Ive been doing home automation for more than 20 years and Ive finally decided to take the plunge to wireless. Ive had x10 tech in my house and am slowly migration to these new units. Ive done my homework and have read some negative comments about these product, but my experience has been nothing but positive. Quality and reliable.

Needed to control the Christmas Lights that were plugged in at an awkward location. The hardest part was getting to the outlet. Setting up the switch with the MyLeviton app was a piece of cake! Also, since the cord plugs in on the bottom instead of the front it fits nicely behind furniture. Will definitely be getting more.

Completely dead on arrival. Switch lit up green, but when pressed had zero function. Would not turn on/off plugged in accessory or allow you to press and hold it to initiate pairing mode. I called the manufacturer customer service hoping they would send me a replacement but after verifying it was broken just told me to contact Amazon. Amazon would not replace it even though it was certified renewed and instead gave me a refund. Problem is, all other sellers want 3x the price for it. Id think they should send me a working one, but maybe Im expecting too much.

Purchased two of these to install in my 20 year old home. All existing wiring was completed by a licensed electrician and passed inspection by electrical inspector. I paid a licensed electrian to install both of these because I wasnt 100% sure of what the instructions were telling me. I have used this electrician for many years. One switch performed as Leviton said it would and the second switch would not. I traded emails with customer service for two weeks and tried everything they told me to do. Still the switch did not work and I asked for a replacement. Replacement arrived and I installed exactly as the electrician had installed the original. The switch still doesnt work on program mode. Now the second switch that was originally working does not work. I am about ready to remove both switches and go back to manual switches.

Once synced to your wireless router and Amazon dot it has never failed to work correctly. I have not had to reset or reconfigure. So many wireless devises fail to stay connected or need to be reset, not this one. It works.

The product functions as advertised and works well with my echo show. It takes some electrical knowledge to install so if you don’t feel comfortable installing them, call an electrican.
