Phenomenal monitor. Having included speakers made the decision easy for me. And the speakers are sufficient for gaming in a small room. If your sitting a little ways away I would still want a set of secondary speakers but everything else is exactly how described or even better than you see.. very happy. Good screen for in between 1080 and 4k. If you are looking to upgrade but not for the price of a good 4k monitor this is a a great alternative. Everything is amazing but be ready you cant hit the 120hz on a PS5 because 5he PS5 does not support display port input so under HDMI you can only achieve 60 hz and their are no adapters that go from display port to hdmi that can make a standard HDMI cord achieve 120hz. The only thing I wish I could change is that.

EDIT1 -------- At some point shortly after my initial review I discovered 1 stuck pixel about 3 down and to the right from center. It only shows up on a completely black background so that does lead me to believe its stuck and not dead. Its not noticeable in real-world use so Im not going to knock a star off for it. I do want to again mention the HDR on this monitor. Its just disappointing so dont buy it if youre looking for a good HDR experience. The white levels are very overblown and it sometimes makes me want to hook my PC back up to my LG OLED TV. The SDR performance however is quite good and again for this price range and other features, Im not surprised by the tradeoff in HDR performance. ------------ Im always hesitant to make expensive electronic purchases like this online for fear of getting a defect but luckily this worked out. Ive had this monitor for about a week now and its been really great. Not a single dead pixel or issue so far. At first I thought the curve might be annoying but its just the right amount thats immersive without being overly distracting. This monitor really allows my EVGA 3070 GPU to show its power and I have no problems running games like Destiny 2 or CoD/Warzone at high settings at Native Resolution with GSYNC enabled. There is some backlight bleed in the corners of the monitor but thats honestly expected for a monitor of this size and its not distracting. The default color settings for Game Mode 1 are highly accurate out-of-the-box though I did end up loading a color profile from the Rtings.com review of this monitor. It didnt make much of a difference though which is good because that tells me it was well calibrated from the factory. I do have some complaints which Ill go into next but I want to be clear, these are minor considering the size, general color accuracy, GYSNC/FreeSync support and response times of the monitor. First, Im glad I was home when this was delivered because it did not come in an unmarked box; it was clear to see that this was a large monitor and it could have been easily stolen so make sure someone is around to bring it inside immediately after its delivered. Second, make sure you have approximately 12.5 inches of depth on your desk because the base of the stand is quite large; I actually had to attach small piece of 2x4 wood to the back of my desk to extend it out a little to the stand would fit. Third, my box was missing the USB & HDMI cables - which is fine as I have spares, but all I got was a DisplayPort 1.4 cable. Fourth, the cable management is pretty much just a hook on the back of the stand; its laughably inept for such a nice monitor. Lastly, the HDR is not very good but thats to be expected on most PC monitors. I still play games with it turned on as it makes them look more vibrant but the whites and yellows seem a bit overblown. Overall this is a really really great monitor for the price point. So far Im glad I took the chance on this and there hasnt been any major issues.

Let me preface this by saying that I was super worried by this monitor because it would flicker black every 5 seconds. I really didnt want to return it because it had perfect uniformity and no dead pixels. After doing some troubleshooting such as reseating my gpu, the flickering went down to about every 5 minutes. This was both from HDMI and DP ports at all refresh rates. After further research I decided to purchase a new DP cable since many say the included one isnt very good. After using the new cable I havent had any flickering for the entire day. LG should really have better QC on their cables because this could be causing others to RMA the entire monitor possibly due to the cable. The monitor itself has gorgeous colors but only in SDR, the HDR makes it worse and if you have a dark environment your blacks will be muddied and grey. All in all I dont think I can go back to anything else but ultradwide now. The extra width makes it so much more immersive and glad that so many games support it. Its a bigger difference than 4K for PC gaming.

Contrast and vibrancy is not as good as dell ultrasharp. However it still looks really nice and the price is unbeatable. The height adjustment works out well. I paired it will my 27 inch monitor and they are the same height

TLDR: Love it IQ is amazing (Coming from an Acer Predator which some would argue has one of the better IPS panels available) hoping 21:9 becomes more widely accepted in games. I came form 2 27 monitors and def. prefer this. Wish USB Hub was on the side NOT the back but otherwise very happy with this purchase. Also wish this has at least a built in speaker but thats just a nitpick at this point. If you are looking at this monitor as a potential purchase, just do it and if you are on the fence about curved monitors hop off the fence and join in, I think it actually adds to immersion plus can save some space. Coming from a 27 Acer Predator XB271HU IPS monitor I was worried because I always thought the predator had one of the best looking IPS panels Ive seen and this is my first curved monitor. Image: For Gaming: Awesome Image Quality and color representation and contrast however be prepared for a lot of games not FULLY supporting 21:9. Most game menus and or cinematics will play with black boxes on the sides but this hopefully will change as this aspect ratio becomes more prevalent. Lastly even without overclocking this screen I have no ghosting. For Movies/Video: Again same issue as most content providers like Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. dont natively support 21:9 so you will have some black bars however you can use some browser addons such as Ultrawidify which will stretch the image to fit without cropping and to me it does not look bad.. HDR: Meh Windows HDR sucks, some games suppport it but most of the time with a few exceptions its not worth it and looks better without it turned on Build: I love the look and build quality looks solid but I gotta say the stand it comes with kinda sucks I thought the predator stand was much nicer. Up/Down Tilt Down (A little) Tilt Up (A Lot) it seems to tilt up a LOT further than it will tilt down which kind of sucks because it is sitting on a table higher than my but no biggie. Lastly and most importantly the USB hub on this doesnt seem very well thought out at least to me. I preferred my predator where it had the USB hub inputs on the left side. This monitor they are located on the back right by the video inputs and its much more of a hassle to quickly plug in/out something.

I have the non IPS (VA) version. I got it on sale during Christmas sales, so its hard to beat this monitor for the price. I have not starting gaming on it yet, but good colors and contrast and great real estate. Does not seem to cause me any eye strain. No dead pixels. For a widescreen 1440p monitor and for the price I paid, Im pretty happy with it. That said, there is a strange cutoff right at the edge of the bottom bezel. Unless you are looking at it straight on or beneath, the last ~2 rows of pixels are diminished. And since it is at the bottom of the screen and my eyes are always above the bottom edge, I notice it. Its not something that bothers me really, but its there and it shouldnt be. The speakers are fine for what they are. Bass tone drops off heavily below 110hz, which I would expect. Pretty good spacial stereo for built-in monitor speakers. It works fine for general use and meetings. If you need more you would want external speakers or a good headset.

Well packaged, took it out of the box and plugged it in. Setting up the stand is super easy, no tools needed. Comes with a next gen DP cable (good for you LG). Ran a dead pixel check via lcdtech and had zero. No backlight issues or edge issues. Loaded up, turned G-sync on via the Nvidia control panel, started up ff14 and got that setup. Running at roughly 110-130hz with a 2080TI. G-sync is working flawlessly. Compatible, might as well be native. Not even a 1 frame hiccup. When I say flawless, I mean flawless. Picture/colors is incredible, glad I went with the IPS panel. Will NEVER go back to gaming in 16:9 @60hz without curve. The curve, the ultra wide panel and the 144hz create a whole new experience. The jump reminds me when I went from a mechanical HDD to an M.2. Just unbelievable difference. My wife thought shed hate the curve/UW and I made her sit down and play with it for a bit. She is now trying to get me to spend another $700 lol. Just try it if youre on the fence. Youll never go back.

High quality, great for gamming. Has so far only been connected to the Xbox for gaming but my Boyfriend loves it and says it is a night and day difference. There has not been any issues with dead pixels and the set up was super easy. I cannot wait for him to get a gaming PC and try it out with that as well.

when you install a strong GPU you start thinking about how best to utilize it. do you go 27 inch 4k, or do you go with 1440p ultrawide? obviously, if youre reading this youre seriously considering the latter option. Im running a 3090/10900k/32gb ram rig with this monitor and you can max out rdr2 and reasonably get around 90fps. I personally aim for 60fps in that particular game with upscaling/TSS though. it looks fantastic and the field of view you get from ultrawide gameplay is awesome. just beware that the extra real estate is more taxing on your rig. could be that you have to downgrade your settings to accommodate the width, and I dont personally think itd be worth it unless you can get 60 frames. thats just my opinion. the monitor itself is great, just make sure your rig is up to it for your standards of graphical performance
