Mini Smart Plugs and Smart Outlet Extender

Want to make your home into a smart home, but you rent and dont want to install electrical switches and outlets? Then here ya go, but you already knew that so let me tell you its easy to set up on your phone. Easy to link to your smart speaker (I use a Google Mini on my G-Home account) and talk to Alexa or say Hello Google this outlet makes it work. And if you have a streaming stick, this Surge Protector has a USB port to save that plug as well. (one of them is Wi-Fi also) With your light bulbs and controller you can get your apartment voice control ready at a super low price point, and this is one of the tools that make it possible. I have two and want a third one for the kitchen.

This device plugs into the wall outlet via one normal plug and a blank plastic plug at the bottom to stabilize the device. It could use power from the second outlet or just use this as a pass through. Instead they give you three wifi switchable outlets and three non switchable (always on) outlets. All supplied by one outlet. The device can use better lighting around the power button. It was hard to see the pairing light but I was able to pair it after turning the lights in the room off to make sure I was in the right pairing mode. Minus these two hiccups (personal opinions) the device after a few months of almost daily use the smart outlet still works as stated and has never failed to operate within its stated parameters. Just dont plug in a high powered receiver as I did (forgot the wattage rating) which caused brown outs as soon as the bass hit hard at a very high volume. Which was to be expected when operating as not intended by the manufacturer.

Takes both wall outlets when plug in and when unplug out of it you need to hold on to it only held on by wall outlet (pic) usb not fast changing like old usb charging 5 w for iPhone and works with smart life app (pic) works great lets you know when it comes unplugged. The app they want to use never got it to work.

I like that it also has USB ports. But note that you can only control the right side. Whatever is plugged on the left will have to be turned on/off manually

They work very well with my Alexa & easy to set up through the suggested app. Highly recommend!

I tried several times and couldnt get this to connect with the app. I I even disabled the 5g so it could connect to the 2g WiFi. It was a waste of time and money. Do not buy this cheap crap.

Maybe it just where I have it located, but it loses the wifi signal frequently which is annoying. I have to physically unplug the unit and plug in again and pair it again. Otherwise, I would give it 5 stars.
