Mini Smart Plugs and Smart Outlet Extender

Great product

Pros: - Easy app that works with Google assistant - Easy to set up - You can name some of the outlets so you know what you are turning on and off Cons: I would like a higher voltage one to place in the kitchen.

The White-A model is always $2-3 cheaper than the White. The description seems the same, so I posted question to ask. I dont get any answer and decided to order both to check out myself. As you see from the pictures, the top is White-A and bottom is White. They are identical in size, color, function, packing and the printed model # on the back. Wondering why they are price different!!

First off, functionally I had no issues with this smart plug and has performed well in the time Ive had it. Aside from that, getting it to a point of being functional was quite a chore. The minimal documentation included was barely adequate but provided clues to setting up the app. Registration is required to do anything and if I were to rate that alone, it would be one star. Register on my phone? No. Register on my tablet? No. Register on my computer? Not quite. It actually took trial and error and then a combination to create an account. (I would think this would be the easy part so I would consider buying more of your product Gosund.) App installed (finally) and with that came the tedious task of actually connecting the smart plug to it. Again, documentation is quite poor. What it didnt tell me was that I had to be in near darkness in order to see the indicator blinking. Needless to say I wasted a lot of time trying to get the dang thing to blink in normal lighting conditions. Other things that the documentation doesnt tell you... you have more switches in the app than what are available on the device. I had 5 for a three outlet switch. (6 outlets but three are always on.) One of the extra is for all three switchable outlets and the other extra is to turn off the USB charging ports. And since it doesnt tell you which is which, its more trial and error for you to get the name right. The USB ports also have a light to indicate they are getting power but its only slightly more visible in normal lighting so if youre checking them, best do it in a dark room. Once connected, the app seems to work fine for turning the switches on/off. I would like to point out that the app appears to be one big, and quite unnecessary, advertisement. The plug functions are buried. somewhere.... and what appears to likely be a design error or change, the switchable plugs are on the right-hand side of the outlet (looking at it) and not on the left as the documentation and app depicts. Each switchable outlet has its own LED to indicate its on/off status. The LED on the non-switchable side never turns off. The app does have schedule and countdown capabilities like other smart plugs for remedial scheduling. In relative terms, it was fairly easy to add the skill to Alexa. While it was tedious, it was nowhere near as difficult as setting up the app. Be warned there are two places to change the names of the switches but you have to edit the name in the smart plug screen for Alexa to recognize the new name. (The other names are apparently ignored.) I have only done remedial on/off with Alexa at this time but it does function. Overall I will be avoiding Gosund products based simply on the poor app usability and documentation.

I use this for it’s intended purposes and like it, however, there is one thing that that I don’t like about it. If you have the standard double outlet, it covers both plug ins. I wish they had designed this a little bit differently, but I suppose they made it this way to account for the USB plug ins on the top. Nevertheless, it’s something to keep in mind when deciding to purchase.

This plug works great really easy to install and setup on gosund app and alexa app. It dont get 5 stars from me for one single detail... From the 6 outlets and 3 USB ports, 3 are always on and I wish all were smart it would make it much more versatile, also the 3 smart USB works as one single thing you can only turn on and off all the 3 at once... Not individually... But for the price I guess thats an amazing addition to any smart home.

Would have given 4 stars but have to bring back online every so often.

This is to much advertising on their smartphone app for commercial product. A lot, I mean that sometimes hard to find a button to open jack controls. Advertising should be removed from the app for which we paid money.

Takes both wall outlets when plug in and when unplug out of it you need to hold on to it only held on by wall outlet (pic) usb not fast changing like old usb charging 5 w for iPhone and works with smart life app (pic) works great lets you know when it comes unplugged. The app they want to use never got it to work.

Configuracion facil, coneccion con dispositivos excelente, coneccion con alexa de campeonato, excelente inversion. Super satisfecho con mi compra.
