Moen R8718D3GBN Home Care Ultima 18-Inch Designer Bathroom Grab Bar with Curl Grip, Brushed Nickel

Grab bar looks good and is sturdy. Bar comes with six 2 long screws and instructions recommend using a 1/8 drill bit for pilot holes. I did that initially and it was almost impossible for me to drive these long screws the final 1/2 or so into ~20 year old pine studs. I do recommend the product, but I also recommend EITHER using a 9/64 drill bit for the pilot holes OR buying 1-1/2 or shorter replacement screws from your favorite hardware store.

I am very pleased with the design, quality, ruggedness, and comfortable hand grip design of this Moen grab bar. graI installed the Moen Grab Bar on porcelain tiles which was difficult an time consuming because I had to drill the six, 1/4 holes through the porcelain Tiles as well as concrete board to mound the grab bar to the wood studs holding up the wall in the shower. Once the six holes were made through the porcelain tiles and concrete board, the grab bar was easily installed using the 2 stainless steel screws that were proved with the Moen garb bar. I have a 36 Moen grab bar that I plan to install next week. Great Product for a reasonable price that will last for years.

Great product! Well made and they look nice.

First off this item was not free for testing and I pay hard earned money just like YOU. So lets begin, The picture does not help, I took a chance hoping it would match the rest of the Brushed Nickle in my new home. Didnt like screwing things on my walls but. being a disabled vet I needed the stability getting out of the shower. I can say I was very happy with the quality of the finish and this bar is very strong, there are 5 different mounting holes on each end and I was able to use 4 so it will not be coming off unexpectedly. I would recommend to friends and family.

Bathroom

The look of the grab bar is great. I want to have it installed on ceramic tile. My installer could not locate studs behind the tile. He said I needed a secure mount to ensure the grab bar would be secure enough. The secure mount was not included. I had to buy the mount extra for an additional $11.00. So, the description is misleading.

Very pleased with product. Good value for price. Much cheaper than comparable products. Would recommend. Good finish.

Easy to install

Bought two of them so my 92 year old mom could use the shower. Theyre made well & I like the brushed steel look - better than chrome. Since I had to mount to a thin fiberglass shell I used three toggle bolts for each end to diversify the pull as much as possible.

Product is as expected- durable and sturdy
