Perfect for a hand rail into den. Only 3 steps down into room which is paneled a dark brown. Matches very close in color.

This 18 was installed in our hall bathroom tub/shower in a vertical position at the edge of tub so there would be something to hang onto while getting out of the tub. We also bought one 24 and two 36 grab bars with the same style. Both 36 bars were installed in the hall bathroom - one next to the toilet, and one on the tub wall to help rise up out of the tub. Both 36 were installed diagonally. The 24 was installed diagonally in the master bathroom next to the toilet. My husband installed all of them with help from a couple of youtube videos. They were delivered on time and they were packaged well. The brushed nickel looks great and we really like the finger grooves around the handles. Very happy.

Im a DIY with considerable experience. Its a bloody grab bar so it has to mount to the studs or (as a minimum) with blocking between studs. For a proper installation plan on studs being exposed and planning from there. I achieved a very solid mounting on a complete shower renovation - I installed studs/blocking in the intended mounting places and lined up the tile grout lines for the through screws.-Ag

It is installed next to toilet for my wife. Has made it much easier for my wife to get down and up as it helps steady her.
