Moen YB2824CH Eva Collection 24-Inch-Towel Bar, 24 Inch, Chrome

We just had a house built and we needed a few more towel bars. I scanned the one we had using the Amazon app and it found the exact one we needed.

Was able to mount ours on cross studs I installed so very sturdy. Nice design

Great looking tower bar at a nice price. We bought these to match the ones that were already in our bathrooms because we wanted more places to hang towels. There are only two reasons Im giving this four stars instead of five: 1) The horizontal bar does tend to wiggle a little between the side supports. I dont think this is a factor of how I mounted it (I mounted about four of these and they all did the same thing), its just the way the item is constructed. 2) As other reviewers have suggested, youre better off tossing the mounting screws that come with this and using some better hardware. I agree with the reviewer who suggested the E-Z Ancor drywall anchors (available on Amazon and the big-name hardware stores), and Ill add that I have also had good success with Cobra anchors (some of which are rated for up to 100 lbs -- but that would be some darn heavy towels!). Unfortunately, even with a good drywall anchor, two of the four towel bars I installed still had a little wiggle at the mount -- not between the mount and the wall, but between the feet of the towel bar and the mounting plates you install beneath them. Fortunately the wiggling doesnt seem to affect their sturdiness or weight capacity. All in all, this is one of those items that, in my opinion, looks more expensive than it is. And thats always a good thing.

Nice, with good finish. Seems sturdy, my two year old has used some of these fixtures for his climbing/hanging pleasure. They do have a bit of give, but after hanging on them, the give is stable. From another review, her husband was mistaken (maybe not as handy as he claims!) it has the ability to mount direct to the stud, so do not think you need to drill a huge hole in your stud!!

Looks good and matches the Moen faucet in the bathroom. Did I mention it is a Moen?

And yes, as other reviews mentioned it seems like every Moen fixture has a different mounting design. Its solid, but i used my own toggles to mount the 18 inch bar when it arrived.

Purchased a couple of these towel bars since they were the same line as my faucets. What a mistake! We opened the package and read the vague installation instructions. Were engineers, and often write user instructions so we know how to read and write them. Moen does not. Awful unclear vague confusing installation instructions. So we looked online, oh! Moen has an installation video. The video shows how to install your Moen accessories with this special Moen tool that did not come with the hardware. Because we all want to purchase our hardware, receive it, and THEN discover a special tool is required. It says optional but theres no template (come on, Moen, you couldnt include a paper template??), theres ZERO room for error, the little plastic mounts (yes, PLASTIC!! Gee Moen did that save YOU money??) are not easily adjustable, so trying to install it without their handy tool is asking for disaster. These look nice. The mounts are cheap and will wear out quickly because clearly quality is NOT important to Moen. The towel bars are nice. Too bad the cheap plastic mounts are cheap plastic.

I would rate the look and quality of this product as five stars. However, after factoring in the hassle of dealing with the Pro-Fit installation system, my overall rating is three stars. As several other reviews have noted, you have to tighten the screw for the mount more than the 6- 8 full turns as stated in the instructions. Based on the comments online, I ran a test on a small piece of scrap half-inch thick drywall that I had, and it took twelve (12) full turns to securely tighten the mount. How could the directions be so far off? The other issue is good luck if you ever have to remove the fixture (e.g.,towel ring, robe hook, etc.) from the wall mount. What appears like a fairly straightforward process is extremely difficult to do without damaging the wall mount, the fixture, or the wall. Personally, I would have preferred that the Eva collection of bathroom fixtures came with the traditional mounting system and not the Pro-Fit installation system.
