Monoprice 104765 35-Feet Premier Series XLR Male to 1/4-Inch TRS Male 16AWG Cable gold

My oldest son is a professional installer of studio hardware and other associated gear, and his company purchases all manner of hardware, directly from Monoprice. The fact that he recommended these cables to me because (and I quote) they make great products at great prices tells only part of the story. The fact is that youd be VERY hard pressed to find better or higher quality studio cables at ANY price. Im using these cables to connect a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 DI (Digital Interface) to a pair of JBL LSR305 studio monitors in my home studio, which is still under construction but is nearing completion. These cables work flawlessly, theyre DEAD SILENT (meaning they dont pick up ANY noise) and are of EXTREMELY high quality. I havent purchased the studio subwoofer yet (from Monoprice) that I plan on getting, but when I do, Ill also be purchasing more Monoprice XLR cables to complete the connections to the mains. There isnt a whole lot to say about high quality (studio) cables, other than the only thing that REALLY matters; they are totally transparent, which is exactly what high quality cables are all about. If you cant tell theyre there, theyre doing exactly what they were designed to do. And that IS the bottom line. HIGHLY recommended.

It works. What else can you say about an XLR cable - it either works or it doesnt.

Helpful to have these (I bought two), when connecting my mini-sound board, which only has 1/4 outs to my self-powered speakers.

I just A/B tested these against Mogami 6 footers witch cost $44 here on Amazon. NO DISCERNIBLE DIFFERENCE. Ive had the Monoprice cables for a few months but read about all how great Mogamis are and wanted to try them with my studio monitors (Mackie 828.) Connected a Mogami to the right speaker and Monoprice to the left. Played some recordings in mono and panned back and forth. Exactly the same. So, feel good about these inexpensive cables. They are actually high quality in terms of audio signal.
