Greater than one weekI got this cable to be able to record audio to my HDV camcorder in small private airplanes. It does the job and does it well. The construction of the cable is very high-quality and rugged. The connectors are well-made, not flimsy or cheap. I was especially pleased to see that the cable near the 1/4 jack has a flexible but protective wire wrapping where the cable enters the jack, so if it gets crimped or bent it will likely retain its shape afterward and not short out. The insulation itself seems to serve well, being hard enough to offer ample protection but not so hard that the cable doesnt coil well. In terms of actual use, the cable performed admirably, giving me a good signal with minimal noise. Im not sure if the cable is up to audiophile studio standards, but for a freelance videographer using it in an airplane it did a great job. The price is also very good, considering the length and the quality construction. A cable like this (especially with the unique connectivity of male XLR to Male TRS) could easily be three times the price from a physical store. This cable is worth a buy.

Greater than one weekThis cable has very tight tolerances for its dimensions. It is difficult to plug in (tight), and I nearly broke the socket on my Tascam recorder trying to unplug it. I can see bite marks on the metal where the catch was locked onto the XLR housing. Now I find out that this product is ineligible for a return. I bout three of them, and wont use them due to the extremely tight fit. I am disappointed.

> 3 dayBe careful with these... The thickness and 16AWG is excellent for the price... However... be sure to test them on a cable tester and be prepared to re solder the wire so the correct pin goes to the same on the other side. You can run into phasing issues with these and worse... damage to your mic if phantom power is sent to the wrong pin. Other reviews turned me onto this and sure enough I discovered the problem on some of there wire. Most were just fine... but it only take one to really mess up a recording, phasing or cause damage. Not risking it with these guys anymore.

Greater than one weekI have a lot of cables from Mogami to Musicians Gear. This is amazing quality and well worth the price. The gauge seems a little thicker than I expected but they are not stiff at all. I am using them to connect a Yamaha mixer to Mackie Thump speakers. They are quiet as well. I love them!
