Morakniv Companion Sandvik Stainless Steel Fixed-Blade Knife with Sheath, 4.1 Inch

He picked this out from another site, but I ordered it here with several other purchases. It was just what he expected. He is very excited to have a Mora knife for hunting.

This knife is sharp as a razor straight away. I havent found anything around the house this knife isnt good for from cutting up large cardboard boxes to working on my bike. I cant speak to the durability as Ive only had it a couple months but all the reviews online and accolades cant be wrong.

Damn good knife for the money. Had it for about two months now using it to cut a large variety of things. Was shaving sharp out of the box. Wont do that anymore but its far from dull and will still easily slice through everything. The sheath is functional, but I plan on making my own kydex on. Pretty tough also. I was wearing it on my hip when I got into a motorcycle accident in which it found itself between me and the asphalt. A few scratches on the handle and sheath is all it had to show for it. I wouldnt hesitate to buy another one. Update Feb2016.. Finally broke this knife, but I am in no way complaining. Decided I was too lazy to go get a screw driver so decided to use the knife and chipped off about 1/32 from the tip. Doesnt effect the usability at all. Still highly recommended. After 10 months of almost daily use and having never sharpened it, (about once a week Ill run it over a honing steel), it will still shave hair off my arm. Ill use it to hack limbs for fire kindling then wash and use it to prepare dinner, my wife cant stand that. This is the best knife you can buy for $15.

I bought the bright green so i wont lose it so easy in the woods at night. Sturdy, very sharp right out of the box. I drilled a hole in the Hanse for a lanyard. Then put two holes in the sheath and put a loop of reflective paracord through it so the loop holds the knife in place and can be worn around my neck.

Best knife you can buy, sharp as a barbers razor. This one I bought for myself and I bought a green one for my cousin, he loved it. He has used it to skin game and he says it like Butter. These knives are easy to resharpen and stay sharp for a very long time. Best knife at any price but so glad its so inexpensive. One case where you dont get what you pay for, you get so much more.

Superb, strange how the stainless version of the companion has a thicker, more evenly ground blade on the spine, but hey, no complaints here! Razor sharp out of the box as always, why do I even need a razor anymore?
