MyInvoices & Estimates Deluxe

I put this on my computer (Windows 10) and I cant customize the invoice. The instructions say to click on the field so that you can edit it. The field wont become live so I can do that. Ive been fighting with this for quite a while. So far, I dont think its worth the money. Unfortunately, I opened the disc envelope so I cant return it. If I could I would. This is a waste of time.

I have MyInvoices and Estimates Deluxe 10. I have spent 3 days trying to figure out why my invoice register shows all invoices but about 10 of them have been paid but do not show they have been paid. Also when reporting sales tax to the state and pulling up quarterly sales, about 25 of the invoices are missing since January 2014 throughout the year that I had not seen! I am now having to go through and hand calculate invoices because they were never in the quarterly breakdown at all! This is a crap program!!!! No support - no help!!!!

The software has a learning curve to it and the things you can do with it are limited. In conclusion, it’s ok for a small business, other than that I would not recommend.

I purchased an open box item at a discount price that contained software without a key code for installation. This purchase was not useful to me. I received a full refund from seller. Goes to show, if it sounds too good to be true...it usually isnt true.

I received it packaged well. They have departed from ease of use. Im some what dissapointed in how complicated it has become. Ive used the 2000 version for many years and liked it.

I have used MyInvoices and Estimates for over 10 years. Much earlier versions were simple and easy to work (why I continued to upgrade). This newest version 10 deluxe (which I use) is a disaster in waiting. The program, once installed and if working properly, is great and appears to be doing what it was intended. However, as time progresses and your database fills, problems will inevitably develop hidden without your knowledge waiting for that time you need to run a report for the boss or extract specific data. Then, out of nowhere comes the dreaded unhandled exception has occurred . Good luck trying to fix the issue. The program is so complex, because it does so much, that trying to fix a problem is virtually impossible. So now you have thousands of records in your database, this database somehow gets corrupted. HOW? Avanquest did not write in any diagnostics to aid or assist if anything is amiss or even let you know with a warning when backing up that something might be wrong with the file. They have not upgraded or offered any patch for the past 2 years I have owned this deluxe version. I would not recommend this program.

This product, even though not perfect, seems to work well for a small business were invoices are needed. It keeps track of the jobs and the price for the program is cheap.

I have been using My Invoice software for years. I recently upgraded to Version 10 and have since asked for a refund and deleted the program from my computer. Obviously, no bookkeeper was consulted in the design of this program. The reports module is a joke and the payments section is not much better. Although it is possible to create attractive invoices (if you work at it)this is the only bright spot of this software. The invoice register is just short of worthless. It is hard to believe that they could screw this up so badly. IMHO this version is a GIANT step backward. After working with it for a day I gave it 1 1/2 stars out of five. After working with it for two days I reduced it to one star and on the third day I lowered my rating to zero stars. Words cannot adequately express my frustration and my disappointment. Like one reviewer said it might work okay with a few dozen invoices but try to handle a thousand invoices and payments of dozens of invoices from multiple customers on a single deposit. I dare you afterward to generate a meaningful report that tells you who paid for what. It cannot be done. I rarely write rants such as this one but I rarely am enraged this much. My Invoices and Estimates Deluxe v 10 is worse than worseless. Wish I could have back all the time I wasted on it.
