    I agree with all of the 1 star reviews. I have been using this and have my complete customer base in the file base. This morning I pull up the program to write my invoices and I get a message I have the wrong Key Number. I dig out the original package on on the disc jacket is the 29 keystroke number. I enter the number and they want me to re-purchase the program for $39.95. All of my work and customer base is lost. The back up was to no avail. If Avanquest was near me, I would box up this program, duct tape it to a paving brick and throw it through their window. There is NO phone # for customer support in their 408 page Users Guide.

    If it hadnt been for the bad reviews, I would have tried this program a long time ago...I have been using an inexpensive, minimalist & somewhat glitchy invoice program for the last twenty years, and with the end of Windows 7 came my end of that software. So the trial and error began. I read review after review, on Amazon and online. I tried Quickbooks Online...they froze my account all while still charging the subscription fee...if you sign up with your mobile then you cant access certain account changes on your computer...youll also be charged more monthly just to have a field for purchase order numbers? Really?? Then I tried the free NCH Suite offered by Amazon..its only free for what, two weeks, then it wont print (that was a waste of time). It seems that every invoice company is just trying to lock customers into the lifetime monthly fee. I do my expense reports on an Excel Spreadsheet I bought several years ago, and I like to write out my checks. All I needed was a program to make invoices (with customizable fields) and lists of those on a monthly or annual basis...just something basic. Upon opening this program up, it appeared that Id be stuck with using the brightly colored templates, but after going into customize and clicking on the box fields; then the color tabs above, I changed the background to white and the field heads to a light blue color, thus low ink use. The font sizes can also be changed. I like how the list of invoices is on the left hand side and always visible. This program also allows for emailing and creating PDFs. If you need something basic that doesnt overly connect all your accounts...this is well worth a try! Sincerely

    The program overall did not fit my business. However, being computer savvy, I found the option to customize an invoice was way too hard to accomplish and there was no menu or task bar option to do a backup. I did not find this to be very user friendly.

    This barely counts as software. It doesnt have any of the simple features that professional software designers know to put in their software. Youre better off just using Excel spreadsheets. Im not even kidding. Ive opened a support ticket with this people regarding database conversion errors between versions every month since January. Not only do they never respond, after a time, my tickets just disappear from their website, like they were never opened in the first place. Absolutely ridiculous. Amazon, why do you even sell this s*** project? Get this scam crap off of here!

    I needed technical assistance with password, to no avail. I went back in an set up my company again and created an invoice, but I could not save the invoice. I kept receiving an error message, which said Data Saving error. I tried Live Chat, but they only provide the service from 9-5. I truly regret having purchased this product. It was a wasted investment.

    What a terrible piece of software. We had used a much older version that was simple to use and provided the information we needed. Had been using Peachtree (another disappointing program), then went to Quickbooks. We are a small machine shop that does not require lots of bells and whistles, but its so hard to find an invoice and inventory program that meets our needs. We dont have inventory per se, we dont stock inventory, we make parts when ordered and immediately ship to the customer. Most software does not accomodate this very well. The worst aspect of My Invoices and Estimates is the way they look at Items. They sort items using description, instead of the Item Number. This does not work for us (cant imagine that it would work well for anyone). We may produce a hundred different spacers and they have to be tracked by Item/Part Number. The only work-around for us would be to enter both the part number AND the description in the Description category, which would get very cumbersome. Or we could enter the Item Number only in the Description category, but then we wouldnt know what to call the item. Just a very bad way to design a program meant to keep up with inventory (I know that is not its main function, but its still part of what it is meant to do.). The program is very choppy in the way anything is entered, you have to go back to the top of the page to click on save and then new. There is nothing user friendly about this program. Sure would like to have the old Invoices and Estimates program back.

    I have used MyInvoices & Estimates Deluxe for, what, 20 years? V6 still works for my purposes, but I can no longer generate any reports, as it keeps telling me that it is unable to open database and unable to load selected report. I purchased V10 in hopes of importing my V6 data and being able to generate the 2019 reports I need, but I cannot even get V10 to install. Further, it tells me that I can also use a code on a yellow sticker on the back of the card in the box, but there is no such sticker. This situation is absolutely absurd. I owned a computer business for years, so I can assure you there is no operator error going on. If anyone has input, Im all ears. I look forward to revising my rating of this product. UPDATE 9/20: By working with the company, I was finally able to get the program to install. Some things about it I like, but not all; I would say that version the older version, its in some ways a step forward and some ways a step back. One simple thing is that I used to be able to tab from a certain field to the next field and the program would auto populate the fields info if I typed the first letter (say, typing the P of PayPal), but the new version doesnt do that, so I have to retype the same info in each invoice. Also, the invoices print smaller on the page than they used to, making them more difficult to read. A positive is that they now do print in color, which the older version wouldnt do. There are other aspects that I find kludgy compared to the old version; one would be that the old version allowed me to print to PDF and would open the PDF automatically; this version asks me each time if Id like to open the PDF. Ive upped the stars from 1 to 3, given that the program now does install and does work, but its not a panacea. UPDATE 9-18-20: Not fully loving V10, including missing some features from V6, I read others positive comments about V9, so I bought a never-used copy on the auction site. I was very bummed, though, when I went to install it and it said You have another version of this software. Do you want to upgrade it? I selected NO...and the software bombed. I tried multiple times and it simply will not let me install it fresh without upgrading a previous version. Not happy, Avanquest. If anyone has tips, Im all ears.
