> 24 hourSo we already had 2 Necoichi raised bowls for our cat that we’d bought a few years ago when we got her. We had the medium high food bowl and the slightly lower water bowl. I’d read that cats should drink at a certain height so I bought that one. Octavia was 4 when we got her and is about 6 or so now, so I was concerned when I finally got to see the awkward way she had to crouch to drink water. She wasn’t struggling but she also clearly wasn’t comfortable. As soon as I put this higher water bowl down, she sniffed it and drank from it. That night she drank more water than normal (not in a concerning way). I could see that it was easier for her to drink from it and I’ve noticed that she uses this high one more often than she used to. This makes me happy.

> 24 hourThis is our second purchase from Necoichi. The first purchase was for the raised food dish. I have had it for over a year and I love it. So do our cats! Its made it easier for my older kitties to eat with out having to hunch down. It super cute and well made. You can put it in the dishwasher or hand wash. I purchased the raised water dish in order to get me Maine Coon to stop hogging the other food dish. Now both my cats can have a raised bowl and it makes it easy for me to see how much hes eating since there are measurements on the dish. I love these products. They are well made and the design is super cute. Better than the products I found in the big box pet stores. And the price is on point too!

> 24 hourIt is very thick ceramic I dropped it pretty hard on the first day, didnt crack or chip. My fur baby loves it and will only eat from this bowl & will not accept substitute bowls! So you may want to buy multiple of these as trying to keep only 1 cleaned for daily use is a chore. They are expensive and I think maybe $15 would be a more reasonable price but it is a quality bowl. Been through the dishwasher many times now, no fading of the print, wear or chipping. Make sure you buy the tall one!

> 24 hourThis bowl is well made, and I like the fact that I can see how much water my cat drinks with the measured lines inside the bowl. The only downside is that it needs to be a little taller. The height is barely higher than a regular bowl.

> 24 hourI was on the search for a water bowl that would prevent spillage and condensation. My cat licks the water up the side of the bowl out of habit and it would splash on the mat below constantly, causing mold to grow underneath. The lip on this bowl prevents water splashing out. It is a little pricier than I was looking for, but its worth it so far. Its easy to clean and I like that it is white so I can see if icky stuff is growing. Very pleased and its cute to boot!

> 24 hourMy cats have always consumed lots of water. Lots. I was looking for a bowl that didnt absorb water (as pottery can); one that wasnt metal; one that wasnt huge or too small; one that was raised so my cats didnt need to bend down so low; and one where the entire bottom didnt sit flat on the floor (which tends to pull spilled water underneath the whole surface so multiple daily cleanups are a little more involved). This bowl, with its style of two bowls secured bottom to bottom (it is all one piece), is raised to a height that is perfect for my cats, and only the lip of the bottom touches the floor. Happily, its heavier than I imagined. The design has led to fewer cat-drinking spills. It has withstood two sturdy cats insisting each should drink first and never tipped over once. Its surface is non-porous. I dont measure water-use by partial bowlfuls, but there are measuring lines on the interior. Im about to buy another so my cats dont have to argue over who gets to drink first. They certainly seem fond of it ... Im not completely sure, but maybe fond enough to drink even more water. ;) To Necoichi (Cat1st), どうもありがとうございます (doumo arigatou gozaimasu). To those considering purchasing this, go for it!

> 24 hourWhod have thought it but this raised cat dish stopped our cat dropping food outside of her dish. I bought 2 of these - one for water and one (same size) for her wet food. I use a disposable dish inside of the dish for the wet cat food. There is much less mess plus I noticed she now eats all of her food - before she would eat maybe half of her food and leave the rest. I hand wash the bowls in hot water, they come up great. Not paid for this review, just want other pet owners to know these bowls worked for me.

> 24 hourWe used to have a water dish with a pump that needed filters. It was a pain to clean, and we could no longer find the expensive filters for it. At first, I was unsure about going back to just a dish because my cat never seemed to want to drink from a dish. I am glad that I listened to the reviews. He drinks from this dish frequently. It is much easier to maintain than the filtered bowl, and he has never tipped it over. The fact that it is raised makes it easier for him to drink, since he doesnt have to bend down (he is 13 years old). At first, I was concerned that it wouldnt be big enough, but he has never run out of water in less than a day. I dump and refill it every morning, and that seems to be sufficient. I am very happy with this dish.

> 24 hourOur cat has always preferred a short glass to drink from on his table, presumably so he doesnt have to crouch down to drink. We were keeping it on a coaster, but alas he is a messy drinker! This Nekoichi plate and raised water dish perfectly fit the bill for our little guy though! The dish holds water just fine and has handy measurements baked right in for monitoring consumption. The plate is wide enough to capture all of his over-spill effectively and both are easy to wash and rinse clean as needed. Also nice is the indentation in the plate to ensure the water bowl is always evenly centered for usage. Its not cheap, but you get what you pay for!

> 24 hourMy cat and I recently moved to a new state, which was understandably stressful for him. He seemed to be settling in okay, but, for whatever reason, he refused to drink the water in our new home. He would only drink water if I cupped it in my hands, and he wasnt getting nearly enough, so I was quite concerned, especially as he normally drinks a lot. I tried everything the vet suggested, but it got to the point where he would only drink water if I mixed it with tuna or canned food. I bought this bowl mainly because I wanted to measure how much liquid he was actually taking in, but it ended up being the magic solution. I dont know if it was just coincidence, but he drank and drank the second I filled up this bowl and put it down. Its been a few months and hes completely back to normal, but this is still far and away his preferred dish. Hes a pretty big guy, and I think he really likes not having to hunch way over to reach his water. He also loves playing in his water bowls and regularly drowning his mousies, so its great to have a sturdy bowl that he cant knock over (and he tries). Its a little pricy, but I highly recommend this bowl!
