I thought these raised bowls would be taller, but they are like a regular bowl with short pedestals. I like the quality of these bowls, its durable and easy to clean, it holds about 1.5 cups of water or more. The large sized raised cat/dog bowls are my favorite from this company. I wrote a review for those bowls. If you look at the picture here advertised, the cat has to crouch down to drink or eat. The purpose of having raised bowls is so the cat or dog can sit or stand comfortably while eating or drinking. If you have average size cats or dogs, I recommend the Classy Cat and Dog dishes sold here on Amazon, the height and dish size is perfect for taller animals. Classy Cat and Dog makes a 2.5 cup water bowl, that is perfect size and height. I bought the Classy Cat/Dog dishes for my cats, and I bought these Large raised Cat/Dog bowls for my doggies.

I ended up buying all 3 in the series (water, food, and treats). Theyre all made so well and heavy enough so they dont wander around the floor (you know how bowls like to walk at night). I felt like the water bowl just didnt hold enough water. I only have one cat, but I like to keep out lots of water just in case I find myself kidnapped by an evil villain. At least while Im bound up I can think At least my cat has enough water until someone realizes Im missing. So I used his old ceramic water bowl for water. Now, this actually was fortunate, because I found that the food bowl just wasnt big enough (yeah, I have size issues). Oh, it held the food just fine, its just my cat eats wet food and has no teeth (I would get him dentures, but Im afraid hed lose them). So the food just slipped out of the bowl so easily and all over the side and floor. Ugh, what a freakin mess. But, in comes the water bowl for the rescue (but not to free me from the lair). It turns out that the water bowl was purrfect (sorry, it had to be done) for the food. So now I use the water bowl for wet food, the food bowl for dry food (since I dont give him a lot of that) and the treat bowl for treats (major surprise there). It all works out just fine. The 3 bowls are all in harmony now and are working out great in their new functions. And what does the cat think of all of this? Not a thing. The cat doesnt care where you put the stuff, just put it out. Oh, I took photos of the bowls (hey, Im a single guy with a cat, what else is there to do?). The treat bowl has 15 treats, the food bowl has a 1/4 cup of dry food, and the water bowl has 5.5 oz of wet food.

This bowl is well made, and I like the fact that I can see how much water my cat drinks with the measured lines inside the bowl. The only downside is that it needs to be a little taller. The height is barely higher than a regular bowl.

My cats prefer fresh water, but arent so picky that I need a fountain. I wanted something that would be raised, not too large, heavy enough to not slide around, and could be washed in the dishwasher as needed. This bowl is perfect for my two cats. On warm days it holds enough water to last my cats a full 24hr day, but I refresh water morning and night at feeding times, anyway. I already owned one of the Neochi food bowls, so this was a no-brainer. These products are durable, attractive, and most importantly - good for the kitties. Raised bowls are more comfortable for them to eat and drink from, and the shallow food dishes prevent whisker fatigue. They go through the dishwasher wonderfully, which makes keeping a clean and sanitary food/water system simple. Im a big fan of all their products. I have two food dishes, a double tray, this water dish, and a single tray for the water dish. Ive had them for months now, and the first food bowl for over a year - you cannot tell which ones came first. They still look brand new. They are 100% worth the cost.

I love this bowl! It is beautiful and tells me exactly how much water my kitten is drinking each day. It is sturdy. I bought it in June. My kitten has pushed it as he jumps and plays all over the place. It has not broken or even chipped. I would definitely buy another one!

decided to buy 10 of these for our 10 creatures instead of the large raised food one with a smaller width. Although these are lower to the ground (wish they were same height as food ones though), i thought these would be better for wet food and bigger cats and they are, plus i noticed that base bottom had a depth to it and a decent width opening and thought turning these upside down and using it for the 2tbsp of dry we feed twice a day would work out perfect, which it does (depth is like 1 inch). To make up for height when feeding wetfood, i put these on the 10oz Harmony Ceramic Cat Saucer (https://smile.amazon.com/Harmony-Ceramic-Saucer-Mouse-Print/dp/B074V7KSML/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1523591171&sr=8-2&keywords=Harmony+Ceramic+Cat+Saucer) that are 1 1/2 inches high when turned upside down and it looks like they go together. these were kinda pricey, especially when buying for 10 cats but, i am happy with my 2-in-1 purchase since i can feed dry on one end and not have to wash it when i feed wet food a couple hours later. saves me from having to wash their food dishes 4 times a day, only have to do so twice now! As for it being a water bowl, maybe if you have 1-2 cats that only eat wet-food but, i personally wouldnt even use it as a water bowl if i did only have 2 cats, too small for one to me. All my bowls arrived intact and well protected. only 2 of the bowls had minor manufacturing defects like too much glaze in some areas and a couple bubbles on outside of one, other than that, they were all perfect.. they are on heavy side and awkward to hold when washing, so if you have hand issues and wash your dishes by hand too, it may be a problem for you as well. am actually now considering replacing our old ignored dishwasher just for these for i feel like i am going to break these when i hand wash them!

One of my cats is a splasher. He splashes the water around getting it everywhere before he would drink it. Ive been told it has to do with freshness and aeration, so I tried a fountain. Same result, water everywhere. I suspected he couldnt tell where the top of the water was and the ripples from splashing helped him to see that. I got this bowl because of the jellybeans at the bottom. So far so good. No splashing and hes been drinking from it. Maybe a bit much for a water bowl, but it seems to be well made and looks great.

I purchased this water dish because I have the food bowl, its a nice set, very cute. I do wish they would have made the water bowl a tad bit deeper and maybe 1/2 to 1 inch taller. However, both my senior kitty and kitten do love it, especially since the food dish is right next to it, so no more kitty neck strain and this really helps my senior kitty. Its nice that these products are available to help pets eat and drink more comfortably. I do love them both and they also make great gifts for your pet lover!

I have two cats and they get a bit competitive about food and water. Plus, in the summer especially, they can drain their previous shallow water bowl before the end of the day. My old bowl was an individual creme brulee-type of ramekin and it was hard to tell at times if there was water in the bowl. Plus, one of my cats is a senior and I wanted to consider his joints. Before he was lying down while drinking or eating - causing stress as he had to scan the room for my other lurking kitty! This bowl is wonderful! The raised bowl lifts the water up about 2 inches, plus provides a much bigger basin to insure that theres plenty of water for my 2 cats to last the day. The jellybean design at the bottom I think helps the cats assess the bottom of the bowl, whereas the measuring marks on the side help me track water consumption. A couple days into using this and my senior cat is a convert and the other is somewhat skeptical. However, I think the benefits will become more apparent to their health as they adjust. Im confident enough now to invest in the raised food bowl as well. I definitely recommend!

Our cat has always preferred a short glass to drink from on his table, presumably so he doesnt have to crouch down to drink. We were keeping it on a coaster, but alas he is a messy drinker! This Nekoichi plate and raised water dish perfectly fit the bill for our little guy though! The dish holds water just fine and has handy measurements baked right in for monitoring consumption. The plate is wide enough to capture all of his over-spill effectively and both are easy to wash and rinse clean as needed. Also nice is the indentation in the plate to ensure the water bowl is always evenly centered for usage. Its not cheap, but you get what you pay for!
