Greater than one weekNot impressed. I was hoping for more airflow. How hard is it to make a silent fan if it doesnt move much air? No overheating issues & a quieter HTPC so far.

> 3 dayI used this fan (Noctua NF-R8 redux-1800) to quiet down my aftermarket T-Mobile Gateway Trashcan Lid. It required a 3-pin to USB adapter, but works great under 5v power. I am incredibly impressed with how quiet the fan is in this application. Yes, fan speed is reduced, but I don’t need all that much airflow. I just want to provide a bit of active assist without adding to the ambient noise, otherwise. This fan does that, while promising long life, to boot. That’s a huge win/win for me!

16-04-2025I tried purchasing this twice thinking there was a mistake the first go around. The product photo shows a 3-pin fan, but I was shipped 4-pin fans on two separate purchases. Frustrating and a waste of time. The box says 4-pin fan, but sticker label says 3-pin fan.

Greater than one weekI had to swap out the fans in the Savage 1k lights. The fans it originally came with were incredibly loud. Decided to replace them with these fans. They perform beautifully! My lights are quiet and I can film without the fans ruining the audio.

> 3 dayI got it to replace a 5 bay hotswap fan. This was way too weak or didnt have enough pressure because it caused my HD temps to skyrocket. Only use for case fans with no obstruction.

Greater than one weekNice, quiet fan. Was a perfect retrofit for my Monoprice 300w amp, which is not 80% quieter.
