NOW Supplements, L-Lysine (L-Lysine Hydrochloride) 500 mg, Amino Acid, 250 Tablets

Received as promised. I buy NOW supplements because they are soy, gluten & dairy free and very reasonably priced. L-lysine was recommended by my naturopath to boost my immune system after being diagnosed w/ Epstein-Barr Virus reactivation. I trust that it us helping. Starting to feel a lot better. I buy NOW vits/supp. whenever possible.

I love the Now brand. I prefer capsules, but these work well.

These keep my recurrent shingles under control. When I miss a day, I usually start to have a flare

Helps with cold sores

Id rather swallow 2 500mg tablets like these than a larger 1000mg one. Theyre coated making them smoother.

I didnt notice tablets (didnt even know it came in tablet form) so will not work for sprinkling on cat food. I will take it myself and get capsules for my cat. As for the L-Lysine, all my cats have loved it on their food. A vet recommended it years ago for respiratory and immune system support for my one purebred who came to me with an incurable respiratory condition which the vet expected would kill him (my cat, not the vet). He lived to be 14 - the oldest lived cat Ive ever had (except for his litter-mate brother who is still alive and in good health). Its impossible to know if the L-Lysine was directly responsible for his long life but it certainly didnt hurt.

I have used other brands for many years. I always protect my lips in the sun but still manage to get cold sores. Once I started using this brand, I have not had one issue even though I am in the sun alot. This brand is so worth it.
