NOW Supplements, L-Lysine (L-Lysine Hydrochloride) 500 mg, Amino Acid, 250 Tablets

Ive taken Lysine everyday for nearly 25 years. Not sure if there is any science behind this, but if I dont take them regularly I tend to get bad canker sores (they hurt!). But if Im consistent in taking lysine, then everything seems to be fine. These are a great supplement and easy to order from Amazon.

I buy a large quanity of these to take if I begin to feel a cold sore coming on. I take a few high mg. tablets to stop the feel of it beginning. Which is a tender area with maybe a little raised lump. I take a few throughout the next few days to reverse it and make it go away. Catch it quick and keep on hand. BAM!

I take one every other day to prevent cold sores. I havent had one in years now! Love the NOW brand.

Ive battled fever blisters forever, since I was a little kid. In doing some research I came across people saying that Lysine can help prevent them. At first sign of feeling one coming on, or even if I just know that Im feeling run down and I might have one pop up as a result, I take four of these. I havent had but maybe one fever blister since, and I was breaking out regularly for a while. Glad I found this.

One a day, no more cold sores.

Fulfills what is necessary. I would not recommend swallowing without water. The gel capsules do get stuck.

I had a shingles outbreak all over my arm. I hit it hard with this product. IE 5000 mg per day. Within a week, there was no more outbreak!

A good value for the money

L-lysine is my go to for any mouth issues whatsoever and this stuff helped me through a late-in-life removal of tonsils and follow up throat treatments. Putting this on subscription to make sure there is always some around.
