Permatex 22058 Dielectric Tune-Up Grease, 3 oz. Tube

> 3 dayA much better buy than the small packets of bulb grease or spark plug boot grease--an entire tube to keep on hand for any case where dielectric grease is needed without the premium price! Permatex is my go-to for automotive sealants/greases/etc.

Greater than one weekI purchased this product to fix the rattle on my mechanical keyboard for the enter key. I put a small dab of grease on top of the stabilizer and in conjunction with small cuts of a makeup wedge (you can use any other type of spongy material) . The rattleness went away. For any mechanical keyboard enthusiasts, this seems to be the go-to brand for any dielectric grease.

> 3 dayWord of warning, it’s really easy to over-grease with this stuff, use just a little and spread it out evenly, best for use on stabilizer wires!

> 3 dayGreat product for sealing up wires and coating backs of ignition modules and on spark plug boots. Seals out moisture and protects components from overheating and sticking.

> 3 dayBe very careful when using this for keyboard stabilizers. Permatex grease is very thick and if you apply too much, you can slog down the keyboard stabilizer and make it mushy. I prefer Krytox for stabilizers as it is easier to apply and control.

> 3 dayI do a lot of my own auto repairs and normally pick up grease for bulbs, brakes, etc., in the little packets near the checkout. I finally decided to just get some tubes of the ones I use most often. I dont normally use dialectic grease, but a friend at work recommended it for a spark plug change I was planning on one of my vehicles. So, instead of just getting the small packets, I went this way as planned. I have always like the Permatex brand and did not hesitate to go that route with this purchase as well. Easy to dispense and store when done. Definitely can recommend this product and plan to use it more often on electrical connections now that I have a larger tube. I also purchased a couple of tubes of their brake grease and its also a very good product. In my mind you cant go wrong with Permatex products. Top shelf stuff.

> 3 dayI noticed my light bulbs in a house hold lamp kept blowing. I use grease on my vehicle battery terminals to prevent corrosion, I wondered of i could use the same grease in a house lamp to get more life out of my bulbs. As it turns out, not all grease is safe for electric components, as Vaseline, wd-40 (technically not a lubricant), and other types of grease conduct electricity. Dielectric grease does not. I chose the tune up Dielectric grease because it has the highest temperature threshold, more than bulb grease and other Dielectric greases. It works great in so much as it didnt blow the bulb out, and it doesnt have any strange smoke or odors. So far so good.
