> 24 hourI have Hue so I try to get Hue products like this to integrate into the system. This one operates the Christmas tree. There was a day or two where this would flicker of and on on its own but over the course of several weeks, it did not occur again so as with all technology, I just chalked it up to some basic software hiccups that eventually work themselves out.

> 24 hourYes, they are expensive, but they do what they are supposed to do. If you have a light that gets lots of action on a daily basis from the regular house residents and guests, then this is the solution. This is needed to avoid that pesky flip of the switch to turn off the Hue Lights that should always be on. Heck I live in my house and at times STILL flip the switch by accident! :-). This will keep those lights on no matter what! If the switch is on, GREAT, no issues, but if someone flips the switch to off, then still, GREAT, the lights will still work as they should due to this module always being on. Folk complaining that they are cheaper solutions, are just just being too picky. I mean, this solution lasts for years on the battery before you have to replace it. That’s a long time and longer than some people keep their cars. You don’t hear them complaining about that large purchase and wishing they went for the cheaper solution. Just get it cause it works and will work for the time you have it.

> 24 hourAlmost all the lights in my house are Hue, and are managed by Alexa, turn on... Or ...turn off... Rooms are living room, kitchen, guest room. I have a couple of visitors who cannot turn on or turn off anything. Even when I set up routines like Alexa, good morning. Ive had wifi switches that worked nicely, but when I went to get more, they were no longer made. So when Philips Hue came out with this switch, with the top button a simple on-off, and a pair of buttons for brighter or dimmer, I got a couple. Easy to set up, easy to stick to the wall, and does exactly what I want. Stuck next to the regular light switch, with A SIGN saying Push Top Button For Lights On/Off. So I got several more. Now I dont have to turn regular light switches back on after guests leave. The hardest part was figuring out what scenes to program into the bottom button when there are five options and one room only has three scenes. Yeah, the whole setup was easy.

> 24 hourTitle says it all, Alexa splashed all over the place here, but it works great with Google too. All the Philips Hue stuff is unreasonably expensive - seriously. However! It does all work very well. I got this v2 dimmer switch and half a dozen light bulbs and a light strip for my house for Halloween and it was friggin sweet. The app is solid, works very well. Setting up the account online was dumb - had to disable the VPN on my phone (enabled by default cos Google Pixel phone uses the Google One VPN to secure my interwebs) cos it couldnt detect the bridge with it on. Once I figured that out, though, it found and connected it to my account quickly. The good thing about Hue products is they just work. Products are good quality. But damn do you pay for it. And Im an idiot so I plan to get more. Going for the Sync box and some lights for the TV. Cos pretty lights. Do it for the blinkies.

> 24 hourSuper easy to install and setup! I just attached it to a wall near the kids rooms and now have an instant, easy access light switch that they can use, too! Really quite convenient and highly recommend, albeit maybe wait for a sale as it is a bit pricey. However, it is outstanding quality. No issues at all with delays or misreads. Has worked instantly every time!

> 24 hourFor some reason every once in a while it won’t work unless I press the button twice. Other than that it’s great I also use it to control my ceiling fans.

> 24 hourThe switch is easily programmed by tethering either to a light bulb - or - by adding it to the app and programming everything over the phone once. Using the phone app, the Hue and power buttons can then even switch between different sceneries / modes. Which makes this really nice. Also - the remote can then work from anywhere in the house - which makes it even more interesting (and dangerous to chaos if you have multiple and switch them ;) ). All in all I really like this and bought even 2 more controls!

> 24 hourNot a normal reviewer. But this product is new, I was excited and a major let down. So I thought I would help you save some cash. 1. This module is “Battery Powered”. It does NOT use the power of the existing house wall switch. 2. Battery claims 5 years, so every 5 years you will spend a DAY removing all wall plates/switches and changing batteries. 3. It cost $40. A Phillips Hue wall switch cost $25 (which doubles as a removable magnetic remote) , and does the same thing, and supports dimming, and all Hue features. Far more features your house switch cannot do, even with this $40 module. 4. This Hue switch module will have you bypass your house switch wiring and connect your house wiring together with a provided wire nut, then connect the module to the house wall switch. THAT’S IT! So, save your money and do what I am about to do (after I return these Hue switch modules to Amazon). 1. Remove your house wall switch completely. 2. Connect the house switch wiring together (same as this module requires). 3. Spend $25 + $5 ($30) for a Hue Wall switch and 3D printed switch cover that works with the Hue wall switch. The $25 wall switch also uses a battery that needs replacing every 3 years (I own 4-5 currently). 4. And now, you have a Hue wall switch that looks nice with your “made for Hue 3D printed switch plate cover”. You have the SAME EXACT SOLUTION PHILLIPS IS OFFERING WITH THIS $40 PRODUCT. WOW! Love Hue, I own 20 of the multi-color lights, wall switches, motions sensors, etc. LOVE THEM. But this new “module” is poorly executed. Does NOT use house power (require battery). Required rewiring your house wires to bypass your wall switch. $40!!!!!! Again, the $25 Hue wall switch does the same thing. You can stick it to the wall next to your house switch, or bypass the house switch, and buy a $5 3D printed wall plate that your $25 Hue switch can use, and it supports all Hue features. This module DOES NOT support all Hue features. Sorry Phillips, but this product was LAZY! Try again. Final comment = Phillips Hue claims to be partnered with Lutron. $40? Why not make a replacement switch that can use the house power (no battery)? That would be worth $40, maybe $50. I spent days, weeks, searching for something like this. And this module was the best Phillips could think of????? Phillips, please make your own integrated wall switch, or use your partnership with Lutron to make it for you.

> 24 hourI’m the biggest fan of Hue in my family. I don’t mind pulling out my phone or using Alexa to adjust the lights in one of our rooms…the rest of my family on the other hand could care less. These dimmer switches are brilliant because if someone else in the household turns the hardwired switch off manually the whole system goes down. Now, anyone in the house can power the whole room on/off, dim the lights, and cycle through different schemes without needing the app. Docking 1-star because the mounting faceplate is a non-standard size. It’s about a 1/4” bigger than my standard plates…looks slightly off, wish they could’ve matched standard sizes. Not sure about the long term 3M adhesive holding up, but it sure was simple to place on the wall. Looks like there are mounting holes if you really want to do it right. Curious how long the battery will end up lasting, but the process of setting up and assigning to a room was super simple in the Hue app. Must have for Hue owners in a multi-person household.

> 24 hourI like it better than the new dial dimmer wall dimmer. Its simple. The dial while more aesthetic only provides an additional button function. Mounting is easy, the adhesive will rip the dry wall off when you remove it. Its easiest to just use tacks to pin the mounting plate and the unit is so lightweight itll stay up.
