Philips Hue Smart Plug for Hue Smart Lights, Bluetooth & Hue Hub Compatible

Works perfect for turning on and off our outdoor lights.

I originally set up my home with Apple HomeKit, and for my 10+ smart plugs, I used another brand, which does not require a hub, i.e. it has direct wifi connection. It was also 1/3 the cost. However, those plugs would constantly disconnect and cause interference with other wifi devices. In contrast, all of the devices that I have that use an ethernet bridge + z-wave, like this Philips smart plug, all stay connected without issue. Although these Philips smart plugs are very pricey, they actually work, they always work, and they keep working. Im always willing to pay more for a quality product that actually works. After switching to these smart plugs, I have absolutely no connection issues with anything in my home. I cant tell you how happy I am:-)

Adding the Hue smart plug to your hub is just like any other Hue bulb. The advantage of using the Hue smart plug over the Innr smart plug is that this one is also HomeKit compatible. This smart plug just works!

The switch is easily programmed by tethering either to a light bulb - or - by adding it to the app and programming everything over the phone once. Using the phone app, the Hue and power buttons can then even switch between different sceneries / modes. Which makes this really nice. Also - the remote can then work from anywhere in the house - which makes it even more interesting (and dangerous to chaos if you have multiple and switch them ;) ). All in all I really like this and bought even 2 more controls!

This item makes a great gift for anyone who owns multiple Hue lights. Obviously the app or a voice assistant are more than capable of doing the job, having a movable wall switch for guests to use is invaluable. On top of that, after I got used to how I programed the buttons (i.e. what lights are triggered and what colors of lights to use), I found myself using the switch almost exclusively). While the price is crazy high, you wont think twice about it after purchasing and setting up. I had some bad luck trying to connect to my hub at first, but now that its connected my troubles are gone. I know not many users have that problem, but I will at least note here that I had to do a factory reset in order to find it in my Hue app

I use these plugs to control and automate lamps. Theyre easy to install and configure. They work seamlessly with my Hue bridge. They replaced plugs from another brand that used a cloud service that constantly failed. Thank you, Philips!

This one has repurposed the bottom button to cycle through scenes, the top button is now on/off instead of only on/screen cycle. Much better experience.

We have hue bulbs in almost 80% of our lights and rooms in the house. We manage it through routines and Alexa. Adding this was a great addition as my wife isn’t a huge fan of using Alexa. I highly recommend this accessory to anyone who is going heavy with hue bulbs in multiple rooms.

I liked the old version a lot... I have a couple in the house. I dont care for the new version with the Hue button at the bottom. The buttons on the old version were more responsive and I preferred having on at the top and off at the bottom. The new version buttons are harder to activate and I have no use for the Hue button at the bottom to change scenes. I am constantly hitting it to turn my lights off and having them go haywire instead. Some change color temperature, some dim, and a couple change colors completely. I still need to work my way thru the programming in the app, but the beauty of the old version was that it just worked

The future that were living in is great but its not perfect. Sometimes voice commands are misunderstood and just end up wasting a lot of time. I also dont want to have to use my phone as a light switch. This is much easier to use as a more practical solution for me and for my guests.
