Expensive. Works as expected. No complaints.

They are great when they work. The updates are too frequent and take a long time.

If you dont need all the colors, these lamps are nice because they give you many options for white light. I used the pair in some wall sconces and I frequently ask Alexa to change the color from warmer to cooler throughout the day. You need to have the Hue hub or bridge already.

Hue lights are great. They work every time without over taxing your Wifi network like the bridge-less competitors.

Excellent lights. I have an Echo Plus so no philips hue hub required, since hub is built in to the Echo Plus. Added them to my Alexa app and I can control turn them on/off, and dim from my Echos. I can also control the five different hues (warm white, soft white, white, daylight white, and cool white) from Alexa my Alexa app on my phone.

I am slowly but surely switching all my bulbs over to the Hue lights. I liked these because they allow for different shades of white. They also can be different brightness levels and work perfectly with the hue bridge.

This is the second time now I have order refurbished hue ambiance bulbs and I was sent “hue white” in the box

I quit using these and went with another brand. Hue is fixated on making you name the room your lights are in and unnecessarily complicates the setup. I never was able to get the lights, their color or the time the way I wanted it. They need to redo their app again. I had several products set up when they changed their app and nothing has worked right since then. I will not buy any more Hue products. Hue products are still overpriced without any indication of higher quality.

I feel I must warn you, these lights are addictive. These lights work very well and it can be tempting to put them in everything. I have Hue Smart Bulbs in my Living Room, Kitchen, and Family Room. These bulbs work best in places where the light switch might be difficult or inconvenient to reach. They are great for lamps in the corner or large rooms with lights control by multiple switches. I dont recommend them for lights controlled by switches you naturally turn on and off as you walk by; entry lights, bedrooms, laundry room. Because you need to leave the light switch on for the smart bulbs to work you dont wont someone accidentally turning them off. The light quality from the bulbs is fantastic. The dim feature has a very wide and nuanced ranged. The Hue App makes controlling all of the lights very easy. The Hue App has a fantastic feature of directly connecting to your Hue Bridge when you are on the same network. This makes controlling your lights through the app very responsive and easy. The control is near instantaneous. Hue has also made the control software for the lights open to everyone. Dont worry, no one will be able to hack your lights. To add new lights and devices you have to physically press a button on the Hue Bridge. But this means the Hue Bulbs have a ton of interconnection with other smart devices and platforms. I am able to pair my lights with my smart thermostat, smart doorbell, and home security system.
