There should be a way to change the default color to the one you want! Otherwise, things work well.

I like these alot; the 4 light colors are quite nice. A bit dim; I generally buy an adapter that allows me to use 2 bulbs per socket. The ambience (rectangular) switch works well.

These lights are bright enough for your room. This is the second set of Hue lights Ive bought. The first set worked flawlessly with the Amazon Alexa Dot (Gen 3). Unfortunately this set doesnt. The only difference is the White Ambiance does not have bluetooth, so it requires the Hue Bridge. So these bulbs are just normal bulbs until I get the Hue Bridge.

The description is a bit misleading. From my understanding it said it was compatible wit jb amazon alexa, but I come to find out the echo plus is the only one you can use without a bridge. I have the echo dot and it is not compatible. Unfortunately, if I want to control my lights Ill have to buy a hub for 52 dollars. I recommend you dig deeper into the comments and description so you can avoid the disappointment.

I like these bulbs because I can change the colour from warm white, which has a yellow hue, to cool white which is brighter and lights up the room better. I can use my apple watch and Siri to turn on and off the lights in the various rooms which I appreciate. I like the automations that can be set such as the lights coming on at a certain time or when I arrive home. Have had them for about three months and have not experienced any issues.

I scoffed at the hue lamps for a long time, but I have to admit, I love these stupid, expensive things. I use these coupled with a motion sensor in our bathroom, controlled via smartthings, and having the lights fade on automatically to an appropriately gentle temperature and level when you stumble into the room in the middle of the night is a quiet (sleepy) joy. Its particularly nice to have color temperature control over something like the lights over the vanity, as sometimes you want to see your face veeery well, and sometimes... you dont. Easy to use, easy to set up, compatible with everything - theres a reason Hue has hung on to the top spot on a lot of reviews even as others roll out into the smart light market. Highly recommend, especially if youre fussy about the color quality of your light.
