The brass and steel are simply too soft to be useful for what you would use it for. The two stars were removed because I had to open all of them to clear out extra plastic in the threads otherwise they were impossible to use.

Really useful little brushes. The bristles extend out about 1.5 inches for a softer brush, or keep it short for stiff bristles. Used it to clean some minor rust and it worked beautifully. Had a small problem with my order but seller responded right away & took care of the problem. Good product and excellent customer service. A+

Seems like every battery operated device I own eventually has bad caking or corrosion at the contacts, and I can start the cleanup with the softest scratch brush and work my way up to the steel brush whenever needed.

These little brushes are retractable which is helpful to control the stiffness of the bristles, that said the bristles in the metal brushes are a little sparse, but work for what I want them for. I am satisfied with the price and quality.

I would be happy to pay a little more to have a little better design. Out of the four brushes that I received, two of them failed when I tried to extend the bristles. The mechanism that pushes the bristles back and forth is a poor design. They work great when theyre in one piece. The pictures depict what happened when I tried to push the bristles out. The back end came undone.

This is great for cleaning electrical contacts and small connectors found in home theater/audio systems.

These work great for both cleaning and creating. I use them to clean textured clay rollers that get dried clay in the cracks. I also use them to purposefully cause texture or distress to miniatures or dioramas. Four different materials for various uses, they work well.
