Potter Amseco ODC-59A Overhead Door Switch

I used these to create a raspberry pi based garage door alert for when the doors are left open accidentally. So far, so good. I removed the magnetized bar from the bracket and attached it directly to the top edge of the door. Besides the screws and washers holding the bar to the bracket, there are no mounting screws, so youll need some for the receiver and bracket.

Works good. Just powder coating pitted on switch. Still works just looks bad.

I purchased this along with the Schlage RS100HC V N N SL Home Door and Window Sensor to use with my Vera Lite Z-Wave System. Everything worked great and you can see the external contacts and how I mounted it on the top of my garage door in the attached pictures.

The switch worked great. I didnt mount it on the floor. I mounted it on the top of the door where it cant get hit or damaged. This is the switch that the security installer should have used in the first place.
