> 3 dayThis SSD is light and portable as advertised however the connector will fail. It is extremely frail and despite my care attention to it as per the advice of coworkers owning the same drive, it failed, necessitating the purchase of a new housing with a more robust connector. Considering how common connector breaks are Id avoid this product and procure a SSD with a stronger connector.

> 3 dayAs others noted, I initially bought this to use as an external drive plugged into a Mac. Unfortunately what I didnt realize is the USB connection is 1/6 the speed of the SATA connection if you open the mac and install a SATA SSD inside the machine. Newer macs are all soldered so you wont be able to do that.

Greater than one weekDont buy if you plan on using with an apple product. It takes some kind of weird software and it wasnt compatible with the OS at the time of purchase. Good Luck with this one, I would recommend Sandisk or any other brand...

> 3 dayThis is a broken product. It works on my 2012 mac mini. It connects and allowed me to backup all of my data, but it will not open on my 2019 MacBook Pro. I have tried everything and spent hours looking for a solution and nothing works. The Samsung software just says Disconnected No Samsung Portable SSD is Connected even though it shows up in finder window. The solutions on Samsungs support website did not work. Software is broken.

Greater than one weekI love their phones, I love their TVs, but every single Samsung external drive, whether it be a SSD like this or a usb drive has either stopped working or worse. This last one, this product, was under the worse category. As with almost all previous ones, it had issues being recognized by windows 10, and in the process of troubleshooting, it somehow caused the file system on another HDD hooked up to my computer to be deleted. This seems to be a mixture of Microsoft and Samsung awfulness, but seeing as the potential for data loss on an ENTIRELY different drive would not have been there without the attempted use of this one - Im done with this part of the company.
