renovating in an old house is expensive. we made a mistake not purchasing enough handles at one time to cover every room of the house. when we finally got to the last bedroom, we could no longer find a store that carried this style. Amazon to the rescue. . .

I was thrilled to get this dummy lever for my foyer closet. I bought the matching left hand one as well. The finish is a gorgeous matte edged with copper. However, the shallow screw provided is not sufficient unless you have a solid core wood door. It is not long enough to grab the wood and the weight of these pulls (they are a substantial and weighty) will make the situation worse. If you have hollow core bi-folds (standard builder stock), the handle over time will loosen and fall off the door. My husband has fixed all our current polished brass handles by buying longer screws and using a washer on the back of the door. They hold great now. I called Schlage and they have no longer screws to use with these levers. So now we will have to buy standard screws and touch up the heads with matte black paint. What a hassle. I took off 2 stars for this problem since the screws are woefully inadequate.

I fell in love with a door knob at a supply company. It was $111.00, YIKES ! I need to replace about 10. This is enough of a look alike that I am pleased. It is sturdy, shiney and works well at the same time being good looking. Much easier to open than the round knobs if you have any hand or wrist issues or an arm full of items. Just measure first. I have a 40 year old home. The door knob holes were smaller. The hole had to be drilled out and that took awhile. Very pleased and would buy again.

Actually antique bronze!! Not antique bronze “colored” over aluminum like a lot of things we ordered for the house while remodeling! Heavy and gorgeous! I was actually a bit awestruck when opening the box at the craftsmanship as I was not expecting that level of detail and weight for the price! Easy to install and works effortlessly. I am ordering several more as we remodel the house!

I installed the exact model throughout my home some 12 years ago and they work and look great. I had a room remodel and was very happy to find the exact model and color still available. Works great!

Received the handles today and was disappointed by the size of the handle which barely crosses the width of my hand. This handle is designed for light doors. So don’t expect a beefy solid feel out of the set. Otherwise the quality of the finish is good but the mechanism is average and all parts are cadmium / zinc plated. This could become a problem for bathrooms and other damp places. In any case the classic feel and good surface finish makes up for the other shortcoming. If u don’t mind the small handle that is...

I just installed this on my bathroom door and it was easy! It looks so great Ive just ordered 4 more. I would have appreciated directions that included more description, instead of being IKEA-style. But I figured it out!
