The door handles in our house all messed up because they were cheap. These not only look and feel better, but they operate great and show excellent sturdiness. Going to buy some more so all our handles match.

I bought this to replace a non-locking handle. It matched perfectly and was easy to install.

Now our guests can have some privacy! It took me awhile to notice that my condos builders had failed to install a door handle with a lock on our half bath. Who wants a bathroom door without a lock?! I was worried that Id have a hard time matching a replacement to the other levers in the same hall. Luckily, they were all Schlage, and I found the same design in the satin chrome finish. The product that arrived appears to be genuine Schlage. My boyfriend was able to replace the original handle without much trouble, and all the existing holes lined up just fine.

These F series locks & lock sets were once called Schlages builder series; a step up from other brands but still affordable enough to be attractive in a builders budget. Were changing out all the locks & lock sets in our 29 year old 4 BDRM home. The Schladge products are a nice, but still affordable upgrade. We went with the Flair style lever handsets with chrome in the baths & laundry and aged bronze every where else. They have a nice solid feel to them and look great. This particular item is a surface mount dummy knob. We used them on linen closet doors with ball catches rather than a full lock set. They look like the real thing, but dont rotate. The ball catch is a separate product that is usually mounted in the top of the door with a strike in the top piece of door casing. Changing all the locks is a bigger job than you might think with mixed finishes, different styles of strikes, and hardest of all different diameters on the rosettes where the lock set halves attach to each other or, in the case of a dummy knob, attach to the door surface. Our original locks had larger diameter rosettes than the new ones so we had to sand down each door and repaint to make the impression line from the larger rosette disappear. The wood entry door had to be refinished at a local shop to get the stain colors to match at the rosettes. It all looks great, though Ive still got a couple of lock sets to go...

These keyed entry lever handles are easy to install and great to look at. After some extensive searches on Amazon for interior keyed entry door levers, I went with the Schlage F51A FLA 619 Flair for its look, price, and function. Making the purchase was easy, especially because the product qualified for Amazon Prime shipping. The delivery was beyond my expectation as it arrived crazy-fast the next morning, literally (perhaps that is because I like in the city). The product came nicely and securely packed with ample padding to prevent and scratches from moving around. Installation of the door lever was just as simple, easy, and convenient. I absolutely love the new look on all my doors now. I highly recommend this to anyone who is considering switching a their old, out-dated door handles.

The last time I tried to swap out a door knob it didn’t go well. This time was great. I bought the chrome finish flair levers to match other doors in the hallway. One of the handles I needed to reverse and that was simpler than I expected. I also appreciated there were different faceplate options and I installed one before switching to another that worked better. The directions could have been a little clearer but it worked out well.

renovating in an old house is expensive. we made a mistake not purchasing enough handles at one time to cover every room of the house. when we finally got to the last bedroom, we could no longer find a store that carried this style. Amazon to the rescue. . .

I purchased a Schalge locking privacy door lever in bright chrome from Amazon for my master bedroom. The existing fixture was the non-locking version installed 12 years ago. Installation was simple since I was replacing existing Schlage hardwaredidnt have to remove the existing door strike and slide latch. As you can see from the photograph, this new locking lever (left door) and the 12 year old dummy lever (right door) are practically identical and you may not even know they were installed 12 years apart. They hold up pretty well. If I have to gripe about one thing, the edges of the metal collar that butt up to the door had some stamping wrinkles from manufacturing. The collar will pop off if you pry on it a little bit so I was able to rotate the collar so that I didnt see any wrinkles - so no big deal. Still a 4.5-5 star product.
