> 24 hourSmall and usb powered it works fine with Xbox series S. At first he machine did not recognize it so unplugged the unit from the Xbox and with the Xbox powered up reconnected to the front port. it then was picked up and had to be formatted. 2 minutes and faultless since then. Now plugged in to the back of the Xbox. Game pass games seem to run fine from it so far. looking forward to trying to fill this baby up.

> 24 hourDoesnt allow me to play most of my Series X compatable games on it. Was really hoping to not have to drop an extra $100 or so for the expansion card, but it seems like thats the case.

> 24 hourSeemed to work fine for almost a year. Then one day I notice my games aren’t all showing up. Junk.

> 24 hourI have had this for around 6 months, I probably play Xbox a couple times a month at most and just went to turn it on today and it no longer shows up. I’d highly suggest getting a different hard drive

> 24 hourI know it says XBox but wanted it for my PS4 as space was running low as presumed it would work anyway as I’ve mixed before. I bought the 8TB model and tried to set it up but even after formatting it, my PS4 refused to recognise it as extended storage. Then when I checked in the storage details, the storage capacity was listed as 8.01 TB, and the PS4 won’t recognise more than 8TB. I have since found out it is not being recognised because the PS4 does not recognise external Hubs, which this is. I’m now using it on an XBox and it works perfectly, if a little noisy at times. For the size of the games being made now, it’s an excellent buy for the XBox but not for the PS4 unfortunately. Hopefully an update might sort this but I’m not holding my breath.

> 24 hourThis is a lovely bit of kit. Pre-formatted (so it will be closer to 7Tb of actual storage capacity) but all you have to do is plug it in, connect to tour Xbox, and youre good to go. Only gripe is that is requires a separate power supply rather than running off a USB, hence only 4 stars for portability, but other than that I cant really fault it. I have been using Seagate external drives ever since Microsoft added the feature for Xbox and never had a single problem. You really cant go wrong with this one.

> 24 hourWorks as soon as you plug into Xbox Series X. Easy to set up and use. Within 2 minutes i was transferring games over to the drive. Recommended for ease of use & because i managed to get the item on sale.

> 24 hourSo I got this on sale, making it much cheaper than similarly priced 8TB hard drives, and I have to say it is worth the price it sells for. As many have said, it works for PC, not just xbox. The important part: It must be plugged in to the wall to really function. However, you gain 2 usb 3.0 ports after you do this as well as access the full speed potential of the drive. It is great if you have a laptop with limited space, but it still works as an external drive for a desktop. You can use it as a normal drive, not just for games, as I use it to hold a good chunk of my Steam library along with recordings I make while I play games. It had a lot of storage, so I am never afraid of recording in high resolution with high framerates and thinking Ill run out of space. If you create content, play games, store a lot of movies, or just want a great external drive that will be your backup drive for as long as it lives, this one is it.
