Funciona e um disco SMR lento a escrever, na leitura nao se nota diferença, funciona em Windows e MAC (com a respectiva formatação) Funciona sem dificuldades em XBOX no entanto em PS5 devido ao firmware do disco ser identificado com 80001 megas, culpa e minha aprende a ler sem a mania que que sou chico esperto Recomendo se nao for para ser usado para constantes leituras

I was tired about managing games on my internal HDD and my two external HDD (respectly 1To and 2TO 25 HDD in USB3.0 and the 1To of the internal HDD) because Im a huge gamer on Xbox One, I have ton of games from Xbox Originals, Xbox 360 and now Xbox One with all the low prices of games in promotion or free with games with gold (for Xbox Live Gold Members, 4 games free every month !) and now with Gamepass its a lot of game to play ... And I dont want to made choice, I want to play my game now and not waiting it is downloading because I was obligate to delete it to have more space ... so with 8To, you will be quiet untill the next generation ! I allready put all my HDD content on it and I have 4,2 To ! It is more speed than a 25 HDD, it is well design, just it made a little bit of noise but its not to high ! For me its definitively the best solution to storage game on console ! I recommand it ! And I have it for a great price ! 150 euro ! The price of 4To with the double of capacity ! Great !

Suddenly stopped working after 5 years, you can feel the HDD turning but the light shines no more, my laptop recognises it but cant access it Good while it lasted, although you can play games from it on the original Xbox, Xbox series X only allows you to store games on it

8TB version. Have several of these now. Easy connection. Great design. Look very cool, can anyone say Stormtrooper!? Useful light when powered up to show drive is on but not annoyingly over bright. Quiet drive when in operation.

So I got this on sale, making it much cheaper than similarly priced 8TB hard drives, and I have to say it is worth the price it sells for. As many have said, it works for PC, not just xbox. The important part: It must be plugged in to the wall to really function. However, you gain 2 usb 3.0 ports after you do this as well as access the full speed potential of the drive. It is great if you have a laptop with limited space, but it still works as an external drive for a desktop. You can use it as a normal drive, not just for games, as I use it to hold a good chunk of my Steam library along with recordings I make while I play games. It had a lot of storage, so I am never afraid of recording in high resolution with high framerates and thinking Ill run out of space. If you create content, play games, store a lot of movies, or just want a great external drive that will be your backup drive for as long as it lives, this one is it.

I moved this over to a new ps5, formatted exfat and it wouldnt format on ps5 even though it was recognized. Some people have said they got their external drives to work by plugging in via usb-c to front panel. Problem is this drive uses the wide usb 3 data cable, so to test that would require the wide usb 3 data cable to usb c adaptor which I dont have. It works fine as an Xbox drive or for pc where you can format it ntfs or exfat

[Vorwort] Da der interne Speicher unserer beiden Microsoft One S (500 GB) resp. One X (1 TB) nicht so berauschend groß war, und auch ein Spielen an der anderen Konsole dann doch über externe Medien komfortabler als der erneute Download ist, haben wir uns für zwei externe Festplatten von Seagate entschieden. Seit 2018-09 befindet sich die Version mit 2 TB, seit 2019-07 auch die Version mit 4 TB an unseren beiden Konsolen. [Lieferumfang] Bei beiden befindet sich die 2,5“ große externe Festplatte in einem weißen Gehäuse, inklusive SuperSpeed-Kabel und Anleitung. Zusätzlich eine Coupon-Karte mit dem Code für einen Monat XBox Game-Pass bei der 2 TB Variante, bei der 4 TB Variante sind sogar zwei Codes für je einen Monat dabei gewesen. [Verarbeitung] Die Gehäuse sind einwandfrei verarbeitet, es sind auf der Unterseite jedoch keine Gummipuffer o.ä. angebracht um zum einen die Griffigkeit zu erhöhen, als auf der anderen Seite den Geräuschpegel durch die mechanisch drehenden Platter(!) zu dämpfen. Welche Festplatte nun in dem Gehäuse werkelt, kann ich aufgrund mangels „Öffnung des Gehäuses“ nicht beurteilen, jedoch suggeriert die Gehäuselänge eine „richtige“ Platte inkl. SATA Anschluss und keinem gelöteten USB-Controller. Daher kann die Festplatte auch an jedem anderen geeigneten USB-Anschluss wie an einem Windows PC oder Unix-PC betrieben werden, man muss die Festplatte entsprechend formatieren. Die Festplatten kommen ohne eigene Stromversorgung aus, da sie sich mit dem USB-Strom zufriedengeben. [Speicherplatz] Mittlerweile haben wir gar keine Spiele mehr auf den internen Laufwerken installiert, sondern nur auf der an der Rückseite angeschlossenen Festplatte. 2 TB: Auf der One S tummeln sich aktuell 49 Spiele, welche die 2 TB Version zu 85% auslastet. 4 TB: Auf der One X tummeln sich aktuell 72 Spiele, welche die 4 TB Version zu 55% auslastet. Laut Mittelwert entspricht das etwa 35 GB je Spiel, (da sind schon Ausreißer wie Halo 5 oder RDR2 mit 100 GB enthalten) und somit lassen sich unter dieser Prämisse rund 55 Spiele (2 TB) / 110 Spiele (4 TB) installieren und an einer anderen XBox One komfortabel durch einfaches andocken auch spielen. Da es immer wieder zu Verwirrungen kommt, was die Angaben angeht. Microsoft Betriebssysteme geben seit jeher (CE/DOS/NT/RT) die binären Werte wieder, nicht die dezimalen. Eigentlich müsste es dann korrekt „Tebibyte (TiB)“ heißen. 1.000 Byte = 1 KB (dezimal) 1.024 Byte = 1 KiB (binär) Daher entsprechen 1.000 GB (dezimal) die der Hersteller in der Regel nennt gerundet 931 GiB (binär) welche das Betriebssystem anzeigt. So wie 2,54cm also 1 Zoll entsprechen, lediglich ein Umrechnungsthema und kein Verlust von 10 Prozent der genannten Kapazität. Ergo: 2 TB entsprechen 2 Billionen Byte (dezimal) gerundet 1,819 TiB (binär), auf der XBox als 1,8 TB angezeigt, da nur einstellige Dezimalzahlen ausgegeben werden. 4 TB entsprechen 4 Billionen Byte (dezimal) gerundet 3,638 TiB (binär), auf der XBox als 3,6 TB angezeigt, da nur einstellige Dezimalzahlen ausgegeben werden. [Fazit] Die Festplatten erfüllen absolut ihren Zweck und haben der gesamten Nutzungsdauer bislang einen guten Dienst erwiesen. Der Speicherplatz ist bislang ausreichend und zur Not lässt sich eine zweite externe Festplatte parallel nutzen. Die Codes für die XBox Game Pass Mitgliedschaft ist ein nettes Beiwerk, weswegen ich mich neben dem Design für die Seagate Game Drive Variante entschieden habe, auch wenn jede andere beliebige 2,5 Zoll Festplatte den Speicher der XBox One S/X erweitern könnte. Performanceeinbußen sind uns keine bekannt, da auch der interner Speicher eine gewöhnliche HDD und keine SSD ist, wie sie bei der neuen Konsole Ende 2020 erwartet wird.

Works perfectly for me so far, its easy to use and I set it up in under ten minutes. I have the series s so this was needed. The one problem I have comes in the way of smart delivery sometimes I need to keep moving games from internal to external and vice versa in order to play them however its all done in about 15 minutes and you can store your series x/s games on the drive but wont be able to play them.

I have connected this hard drive to my Xbox One X and it works fine. The storage device is small and aesthetically as pleasing as a hard drive can be. My only complaint is that is very loud when it is being accessed. Compared to my old 2tb drive this is loud. The Xbox is set up to update while in standby so sometimes the hard drive will fire up even when not being played and so the hard drive can become noisy as inappropriate times. Generally satisfied but just be aware of noise.

Seemed to work fine for almost a year. Then one day I notice my games aren’t all showing up. Junk.
