> 24 hourI replaced the stock ones on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler. I love the fact that there is no more hood flutter. I had gotten used to it when I was driving but my SO kept getting nervous thinking the hood was going to fly up. So, I replaced them, and he feels much more comfortable when he does have to drive my Jeep instead of the dually.

> 24 hourThese parts are much better than the OEM brackets. Metal vs rubber connections, there is no comparison. An easy install, just the bolt/nut through the sidewall is a bit of problem. Just be patient with it and all will be well. Good product!

> 24 hourMy JKs rubber hood latches finally failed after 140,000 miles of bouncing the hood and making my passengers wonder if it would flip open at 80 MPH. I had my Jeep in the shop for an oil change prior to a long trip, and the mechanic let me know that one side of my hood had no rubber left, and the other was tearing. I ordered these while waiting for service, and they arrived the next day (Thanks, Bezos) - and less expensive than a similar set I had also ordered, but sent back because these looked much sturdier. Although the removal of the old latches was easy, if I had a magnetic ratchet set, installation would have been very easy. I ended up dropping the nuts and washers a half-dozen times, trying to squeeze the parts into the limited access installation point. Once on, they tightened and aligned nicely, and the benefit of having rigid latches is the complete elimination of hood rattle and bouncing at high speeds.

> 24 hourVery nice product. Much needed upgrade from the original latch. The lower section of this latch is difficult to install due to the location of the nut that you have to get to. Your need a socket extension to get to it.

> 24 hourInstalled on a 2017 wrangler unlimited JK Grill didn’t not need to be removed to replace the latches though getting my hands into the spot to reach the hardware was a bit tricky. I agree with the reviews that recommend reusing the factory flange nuts - I’m sure I would have dropped the included hardware. The trickiest part was swapping the little rubber piece from the JL to the Jk because I couldn’t get the screws to unthread. I finally figured out that you need to unscrew them just a little on both sides before trying to remove them fully. Nicely made and fit perfect.

> 24 hourI loved the look of these latches for the price. However, one of the screws that holds the bushing in place came loose, and with it the latch on that side. (Hood flutter). If I could just replace the hex socket screw I would be a happy camper. Next time I will use Loctite. IF not for this nuisance, this would be a 5/5 easily.

> 24 hourThese latches are awesome! Just a couple things. The instructions are garbage, but if youre even the smallest bit mechanically inclined, youll be fine. Youll need a 13mm and 10 mm socket and the provided Allen wrenches. I wish they would have provided washers for the unit that attaches to the hood, but I just used blue lock tight and the original nuts/washer. If your latch ends up making contact with the hood when its actually latched, adjusting the unit that attaches to the hood is the easiest fix. It has quite a bit of play before you tighten it down. Other than that, these look great, are extremely sturdy, and overall I am very pleased.

> 24 hourThese hood latches are way better than the factory ones. I like the look and the material they are made of. Much sturdier and no hood flutter!! However, the install was not as easy as described. It took my brother and I over an hour and a half. My brother is a mechanic and car enthusiast and knows cars/trucks. He had to remove the power steering reservoir to be able to screw in the bottom part of the latches and it took several different tools to get to such a tight spaces. Other than that I am very pleased and glad I got rid of the cheap factory latches.
