> 3 dayThese latches are awesome! Just a couple things. The instructions are garbage, but if youre even the smallest bit mechanically inclined, youll be fine. Youll need a 13mm and 10 mm socket and the provided Allen wrenches. I wish they would have provided washers for the unit that attaches to the hood, but I just used blue lock tight and the original nuts/washer. If your latch ends up making contact with the hood when its actually latched, adjusting the unit that attaches to the hood is the easiest fix. It has quite a bit of play before you tighten it down. Other than that, these look great, are extremely sturdy, and overall I am very pleased.

> 3 dayWith the factory installed latches, there was so much wiggle in the hood I would get freaked out every time I was passed by a big truck on the highway or if there was particularly high winds. Hubby did lots of research and found these got great reviews. No I didn’t personally install them, but my husband says they were very easy to install and I can attest to how beautiful and natural they look on the jeep. Now I am not at all concerned about my hood flying up anymore. There are many options out there for accent latches but if you are looking for something that is more natural to factory appearance these are your ticket. They are solid and I am so glad we made this investment

> 3 dayThese latches are well made and look great. And the hood doesnt pop every time a Peterbilt passes on a 2 lane highway. The only thing I would advise a Jeep owner is these do not give, they are solid. If you are an avid off-road enthusiasts I would think about the fact these latches have no elasticity to allow flexing in extreme condition.

> 3 dayThese latches are VERY high quality. Much better than I thought I was going to get. I own a 2012 2dr Sahara. If you own one too, be prepared for the battle of your life getting the old ones off. There is little to no room to fit your hand in there. Pro tip:remove the wheel well liner and come in from the bottom. That will save you some time. Of course all that has nothing to do with these latches, but just fair warning, they are a real PITA to get off.

> 3 dayThese parts are much better than the OEM brackets. Metal vs rubber connections, there is no comparison. An easy install, just the bolt/nut through the sidewall is a bit of problem. Just be patient with it and all will be well. Good product!

> 3 dayMy JKs rubber hood latches finally failed after 140,000 miles of bouncing the hood and making my passengers wonder if it would flip open at 80 MPH. I had my Jeep in the shop for an oil change prior to a long trip, and the mechanic let me know that one side of my hood had no rubber left, and the other was tearing. I ordered these while waiting for service, and they arrived the next day (Thanks, Bezos) - and less expensive than a similar set I had also ordered, but sent back because these looked much sturdier. Although the removal of the old latches was easy, if I had a magnetic ratchet set, installation would have been very easy. I ended up dropping the nuts and washers a half-dozen times, trying to squeeze the parts into the limited access installation point. Once on, they tightened and aligned nicely, and the benefit of having rigid latches is the complete elimination of hood rattle and bouncing at high speeds.

> 3 dayThese good latches look great on my red 2008 JK Rubicon. Not only are they nice looking but they also did away with the hood shutter that I was getting from the wind.
