Ok, first the good. This vacuum is very good at what it does. Its great at getting up pet hair and normal messes. The suction is better than on the previous cordless and the cup is larger. Thats always a bonus. The cup detaches completely, so you can clean it with no fear of getting water in the motor. Now, the not so good. Its loud. Someone was using it and I thought someone was weedeating. Second, on the previous model, you could press a lever with your foot to use it without the head, for small places. This one you have to stop, pick up the vacuum and press a button to release the head. If you have a lot of vacuuming, you dont want to take the extra time to do this. In this case, the old model was better. Third, the new model folds up like the old model, which I like. Unfortunately, the new model no longer has a handle to carry it by. I miss this as I move around a lot, going from room to room. Fourth, the price has gone up on these considerably. I always liked that these were very affordable, and I told a lot of people to try these instead of the more expensive brands. These are quickly becoming one of the expensive brands. I hope Shark goes back to being the reasonably priced brand that the low to average income families can afford.

After you get used to pushing the correct buttons (one to release the handle, one to release the filter basket, and others), the added features are great! Maybe label the buttons? The headlamp is bright. Having an extra battery is convenient, the adjustable arm for sweeping beneath furniture saves my back. I would prefer more power on the hard floor setting level 3 (like you get when the carpet setting 3). The adjustable vac settings allow me to vac floor rugs without sucking them up into the vac. The rollers could be a little easier to remove, but the instructions helped a lot. I replaced my Electrolux stick vac and I’m happy with all of the extra features as soon as I’m more proficient pressing the correct button.

First cordless vacuum Ive owned and I love it. So nice to travel from room to room without any hassle It is powerful and the battery lasts longer than what I expected it to. My previous vacuum was a Shark Rocket, so I am already used to having to lean the vacuum against something to have it stand upright when not in use.

It’s good on hardwoods and the attachments are useful. It does make cleaning quick and easy! I really really love how it stands up on its own securely when you slightly lean it against something. Other brands slip. I also like how the tip detaches and can rest on its back to charge. We don’t need a wall brace for it so that’s easy. My only complaints are that the section power with the accessories is minimal, and the bottom part is too tall and wide to get into small spaces (like next to the toilet if it’s by a wall) or under low counter overhangs. It’s best on hardwoods. I’ve been very pleased with the battery life, I typically only have to charge it after two or three cleans.

This vacuum is AMAZING compared to my Dyson cordless vacuum cleaners. I love that I can see the percentage of battery life I have left. I love that I have two batteries that I can easily change as I need to. The swivel floor head is awesome and this thing cleans so well!! I am so impressed with this vacuum that I want to give my Dysons away and order a second one of these so that each floor of my home has one. However, I think I will wait a bit in hopes that Shark changes this design a little. Here is what I hate about this vacuum... Its very top-heavy. It will not stand upright on its own at all. So if you are vacuuming and what to pause to move something out of the way, you have to lay this down on the ground. This is very annoying. I thought I would like that this folds down to save space but I actually hate it and hope this will change in the future. I have used my vacuum for about two weeks and already a piece is falling off and getting caught up in the roller. In addition the little wheels get filled with hair and fibers and its very difficult to clean these out. I reached out to customer service about the rubber piece falling off and they stated this is NOT covered under warranty, only the motor is. They cant replace just the rubber piece that they would have to replace the entire head unit. Since its not covered under their warranty (regardless that I just purchased it less than 2 weeks ago) they would only replace it as a one-time courtesy. If something breaks again, it would not be free to fix/replace since I would be using my one-time pass. Already, I dislike Sharks customer service/warranty policy - especially considering the price we pay for this item! Luckily Amazon has outstanding customer service and they did replace this for me.

I was a little skeptical about getting a cordless vacuum. My husband was the one that persuaded me to but it because we live in an older house with minimal outlets....so we are always unplugging something to plug in the vacuum. I am so glad he suggested this!!!! We did the research first...dyson vs shark. Was the price difference really worth the $$? I decided to get this shark for a few reasons. 1. removable battery- you can plug it in anywhere and store the vacuum out of sight. 2. attachments that came with it- we have a cat and dog....we clean often and the attachments that came with this make it easy to clean those hard to get (and forgotten) places like ceiling fans, behind doors, and under furniture. 3. it folds down for easier storage- our shark upright plug in vacuum is sometimes difficult to get out of the hall closet with all the coats hanging because the handle gets caught by a sleeve or something. This vacuum handle folds down to store easily under all those hanging coats. 4. lightweight to take up and down the stairs and light enough our 6yr old can use it and maneuver it easily 3. price point was in a reasonable range. The ONLY negative I have found is that the dirt compartment is kind of small......it holds about as much dirt as our Roomba. We have to empty it a lot more often than we do the corded vacuum. Its not that big of a deal but still somewhat annoying.

I like how light it is and how it Maneuvers. Since I have animals I like to use the high suction which makes the battery go dead very quickly. One of the batteries we have will only charge to 80%. I have hardwood floors kitchen living room and hallway, area rug in living room. Usually I can Vacuum my kitchen living room and hallway with one charge, but I can’t use it on the highest suction setting.

This is my first cordless vacuum and I will never go back to a cord!! Wow it is SO EASY to maneuver, the vacuum head will turn/pivot easily to make hard to reach angles accessible to vacuum. I read some reviews about the attachments not being included and I received all of my attachments. Nothing was missing and I can’t wait to use them to clean my car and baseboards!

I bought this after a lot of research and consideration of other brands. I couldnt justify 800 bucks for a Dyson, but I also know that a vacuum that costs 150 bucks doesnt last. I needed something that is versatile and can quickly switch from laminate to carpet without a lot of fuss. I wanted something cordless so I could go through the whole house quickly without having to switch outlets or worry about keeping the cord out of the way of my path. The ability to clean up hair was an absolute imperative as I have a Husky and a Corgi that are constantly shedding. Cleaning the hair off of every surface has become a nightmare chore that is impossible to stay on top of. Now, let me tell you, that my house is in no way filthy, but after using this vacuum on my rug, that was just vacuumed with my old vacuum cleaner a couple of days ago, it sure felt like I was living in squalor before. This stick vac pulled hair and dirt from the carpet that I thought was clean! I was ASTOUNDED by how much dirt and hair that was still there. This product easily converts to make vacuuming stairs and those hard to reach areas a simple task. The included attachments are very good at getting the hair and dust from the couch cushions and it is very compact and takes up very little storage space. I have read other reviews that it builds up a rather unpleasant static shock after a few minutes of use. I have not experienced any sort of shock or static build up. The only reason that I didnt give this product 5 stars is because there isnt any storage for the attachments, and with 2 kids, I know that they are going to get lost easily. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants the convenience of a powerful cordless vacuum, without the high cost of a Dyson.
