> 24 hourThe 7B is perhaps the greatest all-around mic Shure has ever produced. The SM-7B is essentially a modern reimagining of that microphone, and a studio would be remiss not to have one. I use the SM-7B mainly for vocals and VOs but it really shines on instruments too such as guitar or wherever you’d use a 57 or 58. Def has its own distinct character and when coupled with a germanium transistor pre (or any pre that can pump decibels) it’s undeniably one of the best pound-for-pound mics on the market. I Love it and keep it within arm’s reach.

> 24 hourWould 100% recommend this product for anyone getting into streaming or if youre a very consistent gamer. Gives solid quality. Only issue is it doesnt come with cables, or anything- JUST MICROPHONE. so dont expect more haha. Would recommend the Cloud lifter and Scarlett solo USB with this microphone!

> 24 hourYes this is arguably the best sounding mic in the market but it’s sensitivity is -69. Think about that. You need 69 dB gain just to get rid of static and white noise that this mic has. You will need a very expensive amp because $500 amps I tried along with cloudlifter still sounded like crap. Returned the mic and got a rhode nt1 instead

> 24 hourThe Shure SM7B is a fantastic microphone. When setup properly this thing produces crisp, clean, professional audio with the lowest of noise floors; even in less than ideal conditions.

> 24 hourThis SM7B is fake. Sounds terrible, product registration number doesnt work on the shure website because its fake.

> 24 hourI researched mics forever before buying this one. It is an industry standard for voice over work and for micing instruments and recording lead vocals. Used in studios coast to coast. Very flat EQ (which is excellent). Great build quality. Super clear, life-like reproduction. Be warned that it is a gain hog, though. Needs tons of gain. Im using it with a Focusrite interface and needed to add a Cloudlifter CL-1 to add some clean gain. The CL-1 is a little miracle. Worth the $150 for an extra 25dB of pristine gain. Couldnt be happier with this mic. Spend the extra $ and grab one.
