Sigma 30mm F1.4 Contemporary DC DN Lens for Sony E

I am Very impressed with SIgmas 30mm F1.4. I use it more Costly than my Sony 35mm. The value is great for the Price.

Leider ist ein kleiner Metallspan auf der inneren Seite der rückwärtigen Linse. Eine Reklamation war mir bisher zu lästig, auch weil ich die Auswirkungen auf die Bildqualität als eher gering einschätze - sollte aber nicht sein!

Ja, mei, das Objektiv ist von der Bildqualität gut, die Verarbeitung ist auch ok, der Preis ist sowieso prima. Ich kann es aber dennoch nicht wirklich empfehlen, weil es gegenüber den beiden Kit-Objektiven dem SEL 16-50 und dem SEL 18-55 einfach zu wenig Vorteile bietet. Das liegt vorallem an der mäßigen Lichtstärke von 2,8. Das SEL 16-50 ist bei 30mm praktisch genauso scharf und nicht deutlich lichtschwächer.

Its a huge improvement on the kit 16-50mm lens. Completely changes the quality of images. The attached image is straight out of the camera & converted to jpeg w/o processing. Color, sharpness, and ISO performance are top notch. This really is Zeiss level quality for consumer money @ roughly 1/3 the cost of a comparable lens.

The best lens you can buy for Sony mirror-less APS-C camera. f/1.4 means it takes bright pictures even in dark conditions and is sharpest t f/2. Does not have image stabilization, so cant use it to record videos. But if you just shoot pictures you will never be disappointed. However do buy it at the correct price, imported lens is around 10K more expensive than when its available from indian seller.

I get sharp photos and videos with this lens. It has no stabilization but I am using a gimbal anyway and know some handheld tricks to make videos smooth so not a big deal for me. And its a cheap lens!

The Sony NEX system offers outstanding photo quality but Sony lenses are not cheap. ThisSigma lens is affordable. It is well made and is an excellent alternative to the standard kit lens when you want a NEX to be even more portable. Picture quality is excellent. Max aperture is very useful indeed. It is an excellent alternative to the Sony 16mm pankake lens which is a bit too wide for everyday use and the only thing it lacks is badge snobbery!!!
