Sintech M.2 NGFF NVMe SSD Card for Upgrade Mac Mini Late 2014 Year A1347 MEG Series(Only for late 2014 Year,not fit Other year)

I installed an Intel 545 SATA SSD on the Mac Mini initially and has been wondering how much difference a PCIe version will make. The PCIe bus on the Mac Mini is only 2.0x2, which max out at 1000MBps. The first 2 photos are Micro Center 256GB PCIe SSD speed tests on the Mac and on a Intel NUC with 3.0x4 PCIe bus. The third one is an Intel SATA SSD on the same Mac. In real life usage, apps do load faster.

If you have a 2014 series Mac Mini, this is a must have. Works like a charm. Beats a SATA SSD by far. One small technical flaw (and forgive me, I am an engineer :) ) is the fixation support is made with a small adhesive foam bar as opposed to a screw - which screw has its dedicated hole about 1/10 away from the scerws location on the sintech board. So very typical.

Very easy install, works fine. Upgraded mac mini 2014 with ssd, now it runs Big Sur smoothly.

Worked perfectly with my 2014 MacMini. Now Ive got a ssd boot drive and I didnt need to disassemble it nearly as much.

This is an easier solution than the Apple option. It let me use the NVMe SSD I already owned and was easy to install. The only downside was with a full length SSD card, the slot to secure the bracket can’t be reached.

I have a 2017 Mac Mini. In order to stay compatible with my iPhone 8 I had to update the OS. This rendered the Mac useless as it would take approx 60 second just to open a window. After adding the 1TB Samsung SSD the Mac is once again a fast computer. Im totally dissappointed with Apple for selling my a computer that killed itself in just over 3 years but Samsung saved the day.
