> 3 dayThis adapter worked exactly as it was intended. It snaps into place and a screw is provided to secure the NVMe SSD card in place. I installed a Pioneer brand 256 GB drive. My late 2014 Mac mini recognized the disk immediately. After formatting and transferring my files via migration, my computer became young and peppy again. I recommend this adapter.

> 3 dayThis card coupled with a 500 GB Samsung 970 EVO (not Plus) has transformed my 1 TB HDD-only 2014 Mac Mini from a sluggish pain to use into a computer I really enjoy using. Installation was very easy. Make sure you have the special T6 Torx screwdriver with the hole in the middle of the driver head to remove the screws from the bottom plate on the Mini. The two tiny screws included with the card worked perfectly, one to mount the card to the Mini once the card is socketed and one to hold the SSD in the card. MacOS Catalina recognized the SSD immediately so I erased it and formatted Mac OS Extended, then rebooted into Recovery Mode, and followed Apple’s instructions to “unsplit” a Fusion drive so the existing HDD and new SSD work as a single 1.5 TB Fusion drive. Super easy, but you can also keep the drives separate. This card is the single best upgrade available for the HDD-only 2014 Mac Mini.

> 3 dayI utilized this to install a Crucial P2 NVMe SSD in a 2014 Mac Mini. Fit was excellent and the connector mated up without looseness to the logic board. The adhesive on the card held it firmly in place. It is nice to have the screw set and screwdriver included as unless your Mini has an existing PCIe type drive there is no screw to hold the drive to the logic board.

14-04-2025This is an easier solution than the Apple option. It let me use the NVMe SSD I already owned and was easy to install. The only downside was with a full length SSD card, the slot to secure the bracket can’t be reached.

> 3 dayGreat experience with the product and installation on my Mac Mini 2014. Was able to install a PCIE NVME Drive that acted as the main boot up drive along side the original hard drive as storage. Since it is difficult to self remove and replace the factory drive, this is a perfect alternative solution if you want an SSD installed. Highly recommended!

> 3 dayDo this for increased internal storage. Easy to do, check YouTube for tutorials…worth the investment of time and money.

> 3 dayWhat an absolute easy upgrade. As long as you have the tamper-proof torx bits to get into your Mac Mini this upgrade will take you about 5 minutes to install. My mac mini is super fast now and after reformatting and restoring the OS in the new NVMe SSD I installed my speed has jumped from about 60mps to 700.
