> 3 dayMy late 2014 Mac Mini was soooo slow that I stopped using it a few years ago. When I saw this upgrade, I gave it a shot. I added 500GB, and now the machine is fast, really fast. Installation was less than 10 minutes. This Mac is now perfect for my use, no more frustrating delays. Here is the link to the memory I installed https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086BGWNY8?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

> 3 dayI purchased this (on another amazon account) to upgrade a late 2014 Mac mini with Fusion drive. This means that the Mac mini already had a 2.5” SATA drive installed as well as a small caching SSD in the top slot. If you’re going to try this, use the excellent guide at iFixit to see how it’s done, but be aware of a few things:

> 3 dayLike the header says, wow what a difference. I had 75-85 on the blacklabs program and when I switched it over to this part and an old achi 256gb ssd equals 750 throughput. Why doesn’t everybody change this out on their old 2014 Mac mini. This went from a dead dog to a computer that is ready for another couple of years. Sure it’s only been an hour but what a difference.

> 3 dayOk.. I had a late 2014 Mac Mini that was a decent machine, but slow as dog running through a foot of mud, so it did not get much use and sat there. When I saw this option, I decided to give the Mac one last try to see if I can bring it back to life. I got this adapter, a Seagate 2TB FireCuda Hybrid (to replace to the slow Fusion drive) and a WD SN570 NVMe way to fast 250GB drive. I wanted to use the NVMe for OS/Apps and the FireCuda for data (Pictures, videos, music, etc). I started by backing everything up and learning how to replace the actual HDD, then I added this adapter and the NVMe. I did a fresh install of the OS (Monterey) and then after it went through setup and got to login screen.. Whole new worlds opened up.

> 3 dayMy son gave me an SSD drive, and I bought this adapter to go with it. Could not have gone smoother, and my computer runs faster than ever! Definitely a good decision! I recommend these to anyone in the same situation.

> 3 dayLOVE this. It’s a life changer! Installed in my old, ridiculously slow Mac Mini 2014, and it is crazy fast now. Should have done it years ago. SSD for the win!

> 3 dayGreat adapter for 2014 mac mini. Easy to install. However my only issue was the screw placement had to be so perfect i needed a 3rd hand to hold it all in place.

> 3 dayI installed an Intel 545 SATA SSD on the Mac Mini initially and has been wondering how much difference a PCIe version will make. The PCIe bus on the Mac Mini is only 2.0x2, which max out at 1000MBps. The first 2 photos are Micro Center 256GB PCIe SSD speed tests on the Mac and on a Intel NUC with 3.0x4 PCIe bus. The third one is an Intel SATA SSD on the same Mac. In real life usage, apps do load faster.

> 3 dayIf you have a 2014 Mac Mini, this is a solid product upgrade if you are coming from a spinning HDD or even an SSD SATA drive. Easy to install - and if you remove your SATA cable/drive for this upgrade, simply use the screw retainer hold down on the PCIE coupling. I was a bit skeptical of the tape to hold the board in place, but - its 3M brand and Sintech also adds the screws for the rear hold down as well - so your SSD will be fixed properly...

> 3 dayI used it to upgrade my Mac mini SSD. While this serves the purpose I think it’s more expensive than the similar products from auction site. Plus side is - this shipped from USA seller with faster shipping.
