> 24 hourUpgrading from 850 Western Digital 850s SSDs. These drives equal the Samsung 990 pro at a better price point and are fast . .

> 24 hourOne of the fastest pcie 4.0 m.2s on the market. Very happy with it.

> 24 hourMaybe a bit overkill but those transfer speeds are very nice

> 24 hourI have PCIe3.0 only and purchased the 2TB m.2 NVMe after having horrible perf issues with a different vendor SP40G 4TB. I decided on this SSD vs Samsung after reading another review that this SSD has good random IO perf. Overall reliable R/W performance of over 1GBytes/s compared to the last 4TB from Amazon that throttled down to zero Mbytes when it got hot, ie over 70C or when the drive is over 1TB full, the speeds drops. The 2TB SKHynix was running steady even when it got hot over 70C and close to being full. I stopped the file/copy after it reached 73C to avoid possible damage. Pros: Great consistent read/write performance, even with random files. Cons: Gets hot fast when read/writing gigabytes of data, definitely needs a heatsink so the SSD will last. Wish they have a 4TB with this level or performance with good price point. Make sure to test out the performance of the SSD when coping/writing from the same SSD with gigabytes of data. Some of the SSD out there crap out on this test and perf goes way down, ie even to zero for a while.

> 24 hourDoes not even need a heatsinks to operate under full load. My Samsung drives have been dying left and right and I no longer trust them. Hynix is now in charge of my data :) I Still love bdie ram though.

> 24 hourActually getting those advertised speeds on this drive is killer. The system is snappy and crisp! I dont know if its because the drive is paired with the 32gb sk hynix m die ram (wish I could have gotten a die 64gb kit) that its really responsive but, Im super pleased with this drive. Should have went with a 2tb instead of the 1tb is the only downside for me, definitely recommend.

> 24 hourI’ve had flawless performance from all of my Sk-Hynix nvme drives. Really can’t praise them enough. They just work and are consistent in speed and performance. Never an error in sight. Only thing I could want now is just larger nvme capacities.

> 24 hourI ordered the 2TB model for $168 during black friday which was a pretty good deal (especially for how high end this NVMe drive is!) for my PlayStation 5 along with the Elecgear heatsink. For anyone thats wondering, theyre a great combination! Ive not used it at all in a PC but its my understanding that it hits higher speed results on a PC due to how the PS5 just works in general. As an example of how quickly games copy to it, it took 6 minutes and 27 seconds to copy over 457GB of data from the system storage onto the NVMe drive. Very fast!

> 24 hourThis SK Hynix P41 Gen 4 NVMe delivers! I benchmarked at 7.3GB/s READ and 6.6GB/s WRITE. Its even faster than my older Gen 3 NVMes in Raid 0 (4.2GB/s READ, 5.9 GB/s WRITE). System is Ryzen 9 5900X and Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Impact. There was no issue with going from Gen 3 RAID 0 to mixed Gen 4 + Gen 3 non-RAID NVMes on this boards SO-DIMM slot. It took about 1.5 hours to clone the OS from RAID drives to a SATA SSD and the same amount to clone back to this P41 NVMe. As others have mentioned, this Gen 4 drive runs hotter than the Gen 3 drive. Im seeing around 46C at low usage, while it can ramp up to 55C on high usage. My Gen 3 drive runs idle at 28C and ramps up to 40C. Also, Im happy this is a single-sided NVMe as my older Gen 3 drives were double-sided. Overall, its a killer deal at $170 from the Black Friday sale.

> 24 hourDelivery was fast, got it same day. The install went smoothly, I used clonezilla to clone my drive.(SK hynx does have a migration tool.) My issue is that my speeds are off. My read speeds are fine around 7000 MB/S, but my write speeds are 2000 MB/S. I have tried updating the firmware but there is no firmware upgrade for the P41. I also updated Windows nothing has helped. Looks like I will need to return.
