> 3 dayThe description doesn’t let you know, but you need an Apple home kit (I think the app says an Apple hub) to use these or they won’t synch to your iPhone. I didn’t want to have to buy an extra piece to get them to work, but I now have to. They are solid and look very nice, if they work with the Apple home kit, they’ll be great.

30-03-2025Bought these as they are rated fairly highly. After initial setup they worked for a few attempts. After a few hours both plugs are now unresponsive in the Apple Home app and the process to reset them is to delete everything and set it up again. They are still working in their own app, though. Definitely not an elegant Apple experience. Hopefully Matter support for smart home objects increases reliability in the whole niche. Would not recommend these smart plugs.

> 3 dayDo not buy Meross or Refoss smart plugs. They go out right at a year. They’ll still power your device but the smart function will go out and no longer work. Mine went out 5 days after the warranty window closed and I’m no longer eligible to get a replacement.

> 3 dayI have a lot of experience with Technology as a Network Manager, School Technology Director, Apple Technology Consultant. I have set up many Smart Home Devices with HomeKit, including security cameras, VOIP, Network Media Servers, light switches, door openers, fans, etc. I have not been successful at setting up any Meross or Refoss device with Homekit. I have spent hours on different devices phones and iPads all up to date with the latest version of iOs. I have rebooted numerous times. Made sure that I was connected to a 2.4 GHz network. Reset all devices, forgot other networks, read the instructions again and again. No joy. On the positive side, I have gotten it to work with the MeRoss app on iOS.
