This thing is big and it is solid! I only gave it 4 stars though because you have to be careful. When I first got it out of the box, I cut my finger on one of the slits, so be careful!

This is a very sturdy comfortable scooper. I was tired of using the cheap plastic one I had which took forever as it hardly held anything and the items would fall off the mound of litter as I was trying to sift. This just grabs a bunch and sifts quick. The other one was uncomfortable and flimsy, this one is very sturdy and comfortable. You can see how much bigger it is than the one I had. With its sturdiness you can push through the litter and heavy clumps whereas the plastic one would bend and you had to be careful not to fling or break the scooper. Stuff also tends to stick much less on this one than the other.

I have an older cat that fills his box daily with huge clumps. The cheapy plastic scoops Ive used my whole life couldnt hold up, prompting a search for a solution. Who knew they made these? Why doesnt the whole world know about these? Best thing since sliced bread as they say. Its a bit large for my hands but given the job it has to do, its the best thing ever. Great quality! Stop wondering about it and get one! Its a no brainer.

This is definitely worth the money. I have been using plastic scoops and keep breaking them one after another. This will no longer be a problem. This scoop is huge and very sturdy. I cant believe the size of it and how well its constructed. I almost bought a metal one in a store for more than this one cost and I am glad I didnt because this is so well made it will last forever!

It is a very sturdy scooper and to that end I have no issues with it. However, be warned that the 5mm holes are a bit large and as a result you will not be able to pick up all the dirty litter bits (they slip through quite easily). As a result I am currently looking for another scooper that will clean my cats litter more thoroughly.

We love these scoops. They handle the toughest cleanup job so much better than plastic scoops that break easily. I wish the holes were slightly smaller so you can pick up the small debris, but overall this is the best scoop I have found and at a reasonable price. We have 3 of them to cover our 4 boxes.

This scoop is very sturdy, but it is so difficult to scoop waste out without it falling back into the litter. As you shake the litter through the slots, you have to practically put the heel of your hand into the litter to get a high enough angle so as not to throw out the waste as you shake. Because it is so sturdy, it is relatively heavy, too much so for my comfort. Im going back to el cheapo plastic scoops. For what I spent for this one, I could buy several of the plastic.

If you have senior cats, you know they drink massive quantities of water and then need to eliminate said water, likely in a litter pan. Both of our senior cats have medical issues (one being diabetic) so the water intake and elimination is exacerbated further. I finally upgraded to this scooper, and it is worth every penny (its not even expensive). It does a great job shoveling out the truly unbelievable quantities of pee my cats are capable of producing. Often the litter is so saturated it was difficult to remove with a decent sized and heft plastic scoop without it beginning to buckle under the weight. The litter would also get stuck in the gratings and require repeated banging or scraping against the side of the litter pan to get it off. This scooper handles the wet urine patties much better - a little still gets stuck when navigating some of the biggest clumps but they are huge so this is to be expected - but the litter comes out much more easily. Also it is such a generous scoop that you can take out giant clumps in full without them breaking up and spilling the urine-saturated litter back into the pan you are trying to clean. I browsed several models before settling on this one and liked that this model is smooth-edged vs with teeth at the end which I think would just cause the wet litter to cling to and scratch the pan itself. The only cons for this scoop for me are that it is a bit hard on the wrist because its heavy and Im using it to scoop heavy piles of wet litter but its worth the sacrifice to actually have a scooper that can manage my cats truly astounding boulders of pee. P.S. It works just fine on the poop too.
