So far its been good. Tones out aos well. Only problem Ive had with it is the blue toner isnt recognized anymore by the toner. So now I can only use 3 out of the 4. Ive tried resetting the batteries. Nothing still. The other 3 still work

Used for mapping and testing for which of a dual cable radio is for the the new single cable. Very noticeable if you have a short. Battery has been going for six months after daily use. Do wish you could turn the mappers around and have a male end but thats just me.

This works exactly as described. I was able to trace back 12 different coax feeds from the distribution splitter to each TV hook up -- and it took less than an hour! I also discovered a splitter buried in my attic that was the reason why my antenna signal was weak in just one room -- the splitter looked like a nail went through it. I have 12 TV hook ups and am only using three (do I really need 2 hook ups in the dining room and 4 in the living room????). I debated getting a distribution amplifier, but this was much less expensive and the distribution amplifier would have been overkill as I really only wanted to isolate the 3 hook ups I use. Even though I may not use this again for a while or often, the low cost made this worthwhile for me.

Great little tester and did exactly what I needed. I was able to trace out my unlabeled cable easily and quickly!

I moved into a house with cable everywhere and cable outlets everywhere thanks to several different satellite systems over the years. This device made it so easy and efficient to identify outlets and match it to the cable in the basement where they all end up. You can install all 4 plugs on 4 different outlets at the same time. Then go plug the device into different cables and if youve matched any of them, it will light up with the corresponding color of the plug you used. That means 4x less times going up and down the stairs!

I wish the folks who built my RV had used one of these tools. There was a connection that had fallen off of a tee inside a wall and the tool helped me to find and repair the flaw in the initial cabling. Now my aerial works just fine.

The batteries I received with this unit did not work. I need this tool for my job, so I was forced to go out and buy some. The problem is that no store sells LR44 batteries. So you have to buy the equivalent... had to purchase 3 different sets of batteries to find one that actually makes the tool light up. Was a very frustrating experience that could have been easily avoided had the company sent ne batteries that actually work

This is a great tool for identifying most homes for antenna installation. 95% of homes are already wire for satellite or cable and this is the tool to save time and work. Just remember to get all of the colored resistors before you leave.
