> 24 hourMade from alumimum and provides smooth operation. Makes determining angles when doing trim work or crown molding much easier and saves time. With proper care this tool should last a long time.

> 24 hourIt takes the guess work out of miter cuts. Im remodeling an older home and very few of the corners are square so this tool will make them look good.

> 24 hourI bought this tool on Amazon to use as I installed crown molding for the first time. Attempting this fifteen corner project was a bit intimidating but made a lot easier with this tool. I quickly found out that the 90 degree corners were not really 90 and the 130 degree outside angled wall werent exact either... The Starrett protractor allowed we to get the exact angles every time!

> 24 hourWhat more is there to say. It is worthless as a protractor since it cant do the one thing a protractor is made to do. It cant measure angles.

> 24 hourThe Starrett 505A-12 ProSite 12-Inch Dial Protractor is hard to read and hard to use, so it just hangs on the wall most of the time. A digital bevel gauge would have been a better choice for me.

> 24 hourStarrett is known for quality and precision, unfortunately this tool does not meet the precision half of the equation. The design is very well thought out and it is constructed solidly, but the dial is not accurate. I found the dial to be 1/4-1/2 of a degree off. I checked the angle for 90 degrees against a 12 starrett combination square and found that the dial would line up with 90, but would progressively become more off around the dial to the point where the opposite reading would be off by 1/2 of a degree. This problem occurred when swinging the leg to the left and to the right. I know many people will use this tool for finish carpentry and it is just not accurate enough. Even though you wont find a perfect 90 in many homes, you still need to know exactly what the angle is. This tool cannot give you a reading that you can confidently take to the miter saw. I will purchase a Bosch DAF220K Digital Angle Finder, even though it is 3x as much, the quality and accuracy are there.

> 24 hourAn extremely accurate and serviceable tool. I had a job hanging a *bunch* of chair rail and this tool saved my I dont know how much time and money. Material waste was much less and the joints usually fit the first time. The finished job is very clean if I do say so myself. I highly recommend it.

> 24 hourDoes as advertised. No where in the instructions does it tell how turn the protractor off. Had to ask the manufacturer. Apparently, it just sits for 20 min and automatically turns off. Seems like a waste of battery power.

> 24 hourThis tool really took the guess work out of the the angles I needed for the crown molding I put up in my home. It is of light yet solid construction. I opted for this model simply because as I travel, i wanted something that could take the beating of my tool box. So far so good. Wish i would have had this for early projects. If you are looking to put up your own crown molding, this will certainly help you along. Regardless of skill level, this is a time saver.
