I bought the same one 23 years later for the same price. I hope it lasts even half the time - the best mailbox around. Highly recommend - came with everything except the wood post and metal rod..

Installation ease depends on the type of soil you are trying to dig 2 feet deep into. For me, it was clay and gravel used as a base under the curb and gutter. In other words, it was awful. The post (Not included) is not cheap with lumber prices these days. Otherwise, the mailbox is waterproof and stays closed during very gusty winds.

Good mailbox, easy to put up. Just hope it holds up better than the previous one. The snow plow took it out after 2 winters. The snow twisted the box and cracked the base. We have tough winters, but still.....

I purchased this as a replacement of my original MailMaster mailbox that I installed 3 years ago. I live on a rural road and the frame of my mailbox cracked one very cold day this winter when a plow went through after a huge snowfall throwing a heavy load of snow against the mailbox. Even badly cracked, it continued to stand up against continued snowplow batterings throughout the terrible winter. My choice for a replacement was another MailMaster. These are easy to install, are completely weather resistant (with the exception of being hit by 200lbs of snow moving at 50MPH on a bitter cold day), look very nice and are all plastic so there is no rusting. The only down side is that there is access from both the front and the back. For a rural mailbox in a northern climate, the rear door is generally not accessible for half of the year due to snow. There are times when the mail person inadvertently pushes so much stuff into the box that it pushes the rear door open. When I install the new mailbox I will permanently secure the rear access door so that it can not be opened.

    Greater than one week

This is the second Step 2 that I have purchased in 12 years. The intense Florida sun faded the finish and the only reason I bought a new one was to put our best foot forward when selling our home. The new Step 2 was easily installed over the existing 4X4 that I used for the first Step 2 over 12 years ago.Its a fine product made by a company that has a great customer service department. They sent me replacement numbers at no cost after the intense sun dried the adhesive.

I am so happy with this purchase. This mailbox was super easy to put together and install. And, it looks very nice in front of my home. The numbers are perfect sized to be readable without being too large. I love that you can check the mail from the back side without having to go out into the street. I now have the nicest looking mailbox on my street!
