> 3 dayI hate the box with the serrated metal edge for cutting. The amount of time I have accidentally cut my finger on that serrated metal when I wasnt even using it, but rather reaching into the drawer for something else. This solved that issue with a much better looking, safer, and easier to use container. Theres a lock to keep it closed, so youll have to swing the latch when youre using it. Then you just pull out the wrap over your container and snap the lid down. Thats it. No more trying to cut or rip the wrap. This fits the 750 sq ft stretch lite you can get at Costco perfectly.

> 3 dayThis product is the same as one we bought several years ago; however, this one does not operate as smoothly as the first one. It does not cut the film as smoothly as our previous one. This may just be a one-off issue.

> 3 dayThe dispenser just holds a plastic food wrap (not foil), but cleanly cuts the entire width by simply pressing down on the upper portion of the dispenser. No more half-cut or sticking-onto-itself-while-unraveling wraps! [updated 11/25/2013] The roll just sits cradled in the dispenser, hence it doesnt matter what the rolls size is as long as it physically fits. It works just fine with other brand wraps, like

> 3 dayNow we use plastic wrap every day, because this dispenser makes the wrap so simple to handle. Unlatch the lid, grasp the wrap at the guides, pull the wrap you need, press the lid closed and youre ready to wrap (its so easy to use you can try different wrapping techniques). This dispenser has easy product loading/feeding/handling/one-touch-cutting that puts it head-and-shoulders above the competitors Ive used. It seems to have superior design and construction to any roll-dispenser Ive found; too bad rolls for other products wont fit. This product is specifically for rolls of Stretch-tite brand plastic food wrap. The wrap is available both on Amazon and as a Kirlkand product from Costco, and itself is a superior product. If youre considering the TVs Wraptastic (which utilizes a similar one-press-cut) for plastic wrap, then you really want the Stretch-tite WrapN Snap 7500 Dispenser. Wraptastic, while better than cardboard packaging, has some serious design issues Product loading/feeding/handling is laughable next to the 7500, so the only improvement for plastic wrap over the original box is the cutting mechanism; the non-slip feet are a particularly slippery plastic); I use it for foil and paper that do not fit in the 7500. So go ahead and order a Stretch-tite WrapN Snap 7500 Dispenser for yourself!

> 3 dayNearly perfectly. Heres how it works. You lift the lid and trigger two buttons, one on each end. That frees the insert. You insert your roll of plastic wrap and pull the loose end out and back over the lid. Replace the insert. Now, the tail end of the plastic is running between two pieces of plastic. Those pieces have three curved cutouts at both ends and the middle. This allows you, after cutting, to pull the end out to the desired length. To cut, bring the lid down all the way. It doesnt feel like much happened, but when you let the lid up, the plastic is cut cleanly. The new roll end is again caught between the plastic pieces and ready for you to pull another. If you were to pick the loaded dispenser up and shake it, its possible to bounce the roll around enough to pull the end back into the body of the machine, in which case, you just open the insert and reload. No big deal. Im kind of stunned. I really didnt expect this kind of slick operation. If it matters, I have been using 100-foot Saran wrap in it. I see no reason for it to work any differently with other brands. The lid that you lift to grab the roll end sits about halfway ajar, but there is a simple one-hand twist latch that can hold it closed to keep it from crumb-catching if you like. I feels substantial and well made and will likely last long enough to be well worth the price. As related in other reviews, it probably wont take very large rolls. It comes with some soft rubber shoes, one for each side, that gives it considerable traction on a counter. But on my slick stainless counter or on top of my no-fingerprint enameled bread box, its barely heavy enough to sit still reliably when you pull a length. Thats not really too big a deal. It pretty well takes two hands, one to pull and one to push the lid down to cut, so you have a hand on the dispenser anyway. Im going to rig mine with a sheet magnet glued to the bottom to stick to my steel counter or steel breadbox. Of course, no problem if its attached with screws. The instructions specifically say that it wont work with foil. I suspect, though, that it may well work with parchment or wax paper. I bake all our bread, and I frequently need to pull a foot of wrap to cover a bowl during proofing. I intensely dislike fiddling with a plastic wrap box and the inadequate cutting edge provided. Plus, the box falls apart before I finish the roll. No more of that. As I said, IT WORKS!

> 3 dayThis item does not work as well as the Wrap Master, however, you have no choice but to buy it if you want to purchase the larger rolls of Stretch-tite which do not fit in the Wrap Master. It is much less expensive to buy the larger rolls of Stretch-tite and this dispenser holds those rolls. The lid is not designed well and the place where you grip the plastic wrap is not easy to get at. It is to close to the lid. Because of the lid design, it does not cut as well for ME. It say for me, because I am 72 and I have arthritits very bad in my hands, so that may be a contributing factor. Younger people may not have a problem. With that being said, manufactures need to be aware that America is aging. The baby boomers are now retiring, and they are the largest generation ever, the generation coming after them is smaller. So, manufacturers need to be aware, we are the ones who have the time to cook the big family dinners on the holidays etc, and we are the ones who are using all the items that are suppose to make life easier. This device does not make life easier for me because of its poor design.

> 3 dayI grew tired of the cardboard box for the plastic wrap wearing out or wearing down halfway through the roll. We buy the two-packs at Costco, which is a great value. The cost of this container is really high, surprisingly enough, but my frustration with torn boxes and taping them up was also high. The box is sturdy and works great; the cutter is terrific. But, you need to include the little feet which makes it too big to then fit in the cabinet rack ... so we have to leave it on the counter. Its functional but certainly not attractive. And even if you can stow it away, the weight of the container and the roll of wrap makes it unwieldy to use in the same way you would the cardboard box. Bottom line, I like it for its function, dont think its worth the money being charged, and think the design could have been better.
