The most despised job in the kitchen for me was dispensing a piece of plastic wrap. No longer. First, since switching to Stretch-Tite I find it much more manageable than the no-name brands and better even than Saran Warp, my previous favorite. The dispenser is designed to leave on the counter, the feet that it has are good grippers and it stays put and does not move when pulling out a piece of wrap. Since its on the counter, you can place the bowl or whatever you want to wrap on the counter right in front of the dispenser. That gives you two free hands to deal with the wrap. The wrap is easy to grab, there is a little platform inside the actually lifts the end of the wrap up and hands it to you. So no trying to peel it off the roll. Once you stretch the wrap out over your target you press down on the cover of the dispenser and the internal guillotine blade cuts it off cleanly. Then you seal the wrap over your bowl. The lid of the dispenser pops back up and you are ready to pull another piece. The lid has a little latch so you can close the dispenser between uses if and open dispenser offends your sense of order. I am not pretending that using plastic wrap will be a pleasure, but this has solved all my largest complaints with the dispensing of it. If you want to try it, order it from Amazon and if it doesnt work for you, they have the best return policy on earth. You cant lose. I gave it 4 stars because its still plastic wrap and I still love/hate it.

This is a product I didnt know I needed until one time visiting my sister I saw her use it when getting ready to store our leftovers from Thanksgiving dinner. I have always hated using plastic wrap because I would wrestle with its sticking to itself and anywhere else except where I wanted it to stick, being very difficult to apply to the bowl I wanted it to cover. When I saw my sister use this device, I was sold. I went home and immediately ordered one. It is easy to use and works perfectly.

I am the plastic wrap whisperer in my house. No matter how screwed up the roll gets, Im always able to get it untangled and rolling in a full sheet. I am happy to give up that position to the Wrap n Snap! I havent had a single issue of tearing or sticking. The best part, I only need 1 hand to get a clean cut on the wrap. Love this thing!

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this product! I have spent endless hours unraveling plastic wrap, which just caused a lot of frustration until I saw this recommended by Americas Test Kitchen and also saw the Barefoot Contessa using it but was hesitant to get and worried it would be too big to fit in my drawer but it fits in my drawer perfectly without any problem and I wish I would have gotten this sooner. This is money extremely well spent. Just recently, prior to this purchase, I spent over 30 minutes trying to untangle the wrap and have my 19 year old son and his friend help as well with no success either. That is what made me get this product and so glad I did! I will be buying many more to give as Christmas presents to relatives!

How many times have you fought with the plastic wrap while trying to put away leftovers? How frustrating has this been for most of us? VERY frustrating is my answer. Didnt you ever dream of a machine that would solve the plastic wrap problems-ALL OF THEM? DREAM NO MORE! This has got to be one of, if not the best, non-powered kitchen appliances I have ever seen. Actually, this fits the description of MACHINE perfectly: an apparatus using or applying mechanical power and having several parts, each with a definite function and together performing a particular task. Whoever designed this product realized that something that needs to function in a specific way need not be complicated, nor does it need to be expensive. Add to this an instruction sheet that was so simple, even a caveman can do it. Took me the best part of 5 minutes to put my roll of Stretch-tite in the housing, set it up and begin dispensing. It took me this long because I ignored the most important instruction-the first sentence that says Beware the cutting blade hidden in the lid. It is very sharp and will cut easily or words to that effect. Thats exactly what happened. I could hear the JAWS music in the background and the machine saying See, I warned you! (Please see my pictures and commentary on the product page.) After the successful first aid treatment, it was ready to go. This machine is so simple and easy to use I almost didnt believe it. The RARE and COVETED FIVE STAR RATING. I highly recommend this product but need to add a few things. FIRST-follow all the instructions. It is supplied with two snap-on feet with non-slip material and is designed to be used on the counter or other flat surface. ONLY use the machine with Stretch-tite plastic wrap, and make sure youre feeding it from the back forward, not the other way around or it wont dispense properly. Trying to use it with any other wrap, aluminum foil, wax paper, etc. will simple ruin the cutting blade. DO NOT try to pickup the machine by the lid when it is opened or you will discover how sharp the cutting blade is. And lastly, dont overthink the instructions. I tend to think things are more complicated than they really are. This is EASY. With a little practice youll be off to the races in nothing flat. And remember, plastic wrap can be used for so many other things besides food. HAPPY WRAPPING!

This item does not work as well as the Wrap Master, however, you have no choice but to buy it if you want to purchase the larger rolls of Stretch-tite which do not fit in the Wrap Master. It is much less expensive to buy the larger rolls of Stretch-tite and this dispenser holds those rolls. The lid is not designed well and the place where you grip the plastic wrap is not easy to get at. It is to close to the lid. Because of the lid design, it does not cut as well for ME. It say for me, because I am 72 and I have arthritits very bad in my hands, so that may be a contributing factor. Younger people may not have a problem. With that being said, manufactures need to be aware that America is aging. The baby boomers are now retiring, and they are the largest generation ever, the generation coming after them is smaller. So, manufacturers need to be aware, we are the ones who have the time to cook the big family dinners on the holidays etc, and we are the ones who are using all the items that are suppose to make life easier. This device does not make life easier for me because of its poor design.

We have been using Stretch-tite for a long time as it is so very superior to the other wraps out there in adherence to most surfaces. And when you can buy this dispenser, it makes it even better. Rolls out and snap slices. No more struggling with the paper boxes and sharp aluminum serrated edges. Not to say this dispenser is not sharp. It truly is and you still must use caution putting in the roll of plastic wrap. We used to be able to get them direct from Stretch-tite for $25 and a small shipping fee. Now they want an exhorbitant shipping fee, so we bought using Prime on Amazon. Still more expensive at $35, which we though was excessive, but ours broke after several years of good use, and we did not want to go without it. That is why the low rating on value.
